Poch has gone a long way to changing the dynamic at our club. The players have to try and stay part of his plan not the other way round. If a player starts to have doubts then out they go eg. Bentaleb. We have a plan and only those committed are allowed to be part of it. The team is everything. Every message from Poch is team related - if any player starts to get uppity out he goes and Daniel gets the best price possible.

We will not be begging players to stay - players will be doing all they can to be part of the Spurs' future under Poch.

Maybe I'll go to the mini golf course in MK on Monday and see if Dele's playing a round there again, then ask him what his transfer plans are....:D

Don't know if anyone is "agitating", but two of those you mention have no reason to agitate anything.

IMO it's the agents who do most of the agitating in the hope of a big pay day. I'm sure clubs dangle the carrots in front of the agents who then do their tapping up for them.

I walk my dog in the woods behind the training ground, I'm gonna holler over the fence and see if he replies :)

Take this with a large pinch of salt as I did, but a fellow ST holder who sits near me in the East Lower goes in the prawn sandwich brigade and the players lounge from time to time. Said he actually spoke to Alli in the players lounge and Alli said he's not looking to leave at the moment and Madrid is the only club he'd consider leaving for.
It doesn't mean much as players are not going to drop any real info in an informal chat, but I think that is the kind of thing Alli would say in a jokey way - I'm very happy here, but if Real Madrid came in for me ... hardy ha.

To raise that kind of interest, I think he has to perform well at CL level or internationally. Next season he should have the opportunity to do both again so if that really is his dream, then he can make it happen.

Major argument with Liverpool fan here at work regarding us selling players this summer.
He's adamant we sell Alli and others and for relatively pissy fees considering length of contract.

Yeah I was saying as much yesterday. The majority of players playing in Europe would jump at the chance to play for us and that's without even taking into account that we can pay more than 95% of the teams out there.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...insists-Tottenham-boss-Andre-Villas-Boas.html

I have heard it from virtually all of our managers in the last decade.

Ultimately the players decide where they want to be not the clubs.

In his opening post, @Trix said: "the players we want to keep and believe in what we are doing will not be sold."

The words are his, the emphasis is mine. If a player is invested in the project (i.e. believes in what we are doing) he will want to stay. If he isn't, Poch wouldn't want him anyway - because his whole approach is based around utter commitment on and off the pitch. So, if he isn't he may want to force his way out (for a bigger pay day, the slightly tenuous prospect of more immediate trophies) - but if that is the case Poch likely wouldn't want him anyway. This one sentence in the OP renders your (customarily, I note) negative comment and any argument you try to have with someone who knows far better than you what is going on at the club, totally and utterly meaningless.

Lloris has already spoken of being tied to Poch - his future will be determined by where Poch is - if he is at the Lane, Lloris will be at the Lane. In other words, he BELIEVES in what we are doing. He won't be sold and he won't want to be sold. Why is that so hard for you to accept? Obviously, if he decides to force his way out he will leave - but he has already said that won't be the case, and the Poch would tell you that if he did that he would no longer be invested so he would sell him and replace him with someone who was invested. So your observation that if Lloris wanted to force his way out he would do, is pointless. Ronaldo (greasy not fat) wanted to force his way out of OT - and he did so - and, your point is? In a very short time, when the stadium is complete and club revenues are far higher, our not inconsiderable wages will be far more competitive with the very top clubs. Why is it so difficult to believe that a player who has bought in to the Cult of Poch might think, another year or two slumming it with this crew, where I can already see we are competitive and that competitiveness is only going to increase leading to a very, very good chance of major honours and an inevitable and promised increase in the core available for wages as revenues increase, might just want to stay. Stay where there is a real feeling of identity about the club, a real feel of camaraderie.

Honestly, sometimes I wish folk would learn how to read text and context before inflicting their opinions upon the World (or maybe use that to reform their core of opinions) (y)

There's a clue in there somewhere.

Liverpool Fan - "Yewll sell all yer players...an' fer pissy fees an'all 'cos ther'on short contracts".

@WalkerboyUK - "Our players are all on long contracts."

Liverpool Fan - "Yeah, bu' yewll ge' shite fees fer them."

WalkerboyUK - "Is, or has there every been, anything that you know about Daniel Levy to suggest that he would allow a major asset, coveted at the very highest levels of European football, and who is on a long contract, to leave for anything but top dollar?"

Liverpool Fan - "Five times...FIVE TIMES." (Holds hands up to demonstrate five (webbed) fingers.
