Bollocks to logic, their win over us means absolutely fuck all now. And I'm celebrating that like the petty minded **** I am.
Urgh I had the other thought that given how close both WBA and Watford pushed them, imagine if we'd had kept applying that pressure. Would they have cracked?

If they hadn't already won the title, they would have played their full strength side tonight and destroyed Watford.

Most probably - but pressure does funny things - as we've seen in the last couple of seasons. Watford got stuck into them tonight though - they weren't on the beach.

What if sugar signed Bergkamp?
Argh - with Aaron Winter - double deal £10m. I remember it well. Fuckin Alan.

Nothing angers me in Spurs history more than the story Klinsmann tells about when he decided to leave for Bayern. He had a meeting with Francis and Sugar near the end of the season after we lost the FA Cup semi final. He says he asked them what was the plan, how were we going to push on?

Of course they both sat there with their thumbs up their asses and and had nothing. Klinsmann knew it weren't going to happen here. God - with his contact book, some of the German players and those stars from Serie A we could have signed with the new PL money...

They may have cracked, but then we would have also cracked against Leicester as they "returned the favour" that Chelsea done for them last season. I was actually dreading that scenario tbh.

the watford game shows how lucky Chelscum got....they have NO depth.
Forget Europe, if they had got the equivalent injuries over the course of the season they wouldn't have come close to winning the title. Imagine if they lost Aspy, Luiz, Cahill for the same time periods as Rose, Toby and Verts were out. And the same for Costa in comparison to Kane and, say, Willian for Lamela.....they'd barely get CL

I don't want us resting anyone for the last two games, let's win them both and post a huge points total.

And we owe fucking Leicester a good battering quite frankly

LAst nights result confirms that Terry is passed it, he'll still be lording it on Sunday though when the presentation happens.

With regards the title, I lived in hope till the bitter end but in reality it went when Everton didn't bother to turn up in their game. That was our last hope of them realistically showin signs of strain.

But we've managed a good season with a European campaign something Chelsea and Liverpool have to try and do, personally think United will be the team to beat next season, we'll be at least the equal of the others.

Not really! They've got a hell of a squad, purely 'cause of their resources. If they'd lost Aspi, that would have knocked them. But, they have so many attacking MF threats in their squad, they could have even got away with losing Costa for a while.

They lost their wing backs for 2 games last month and looked totally out of sorts, if David Luiz was out for 2 months do yiu really honestly think they'd be a solid as they were?

Very strange hearing Spurs fans say this...I have a Chelsea supporting colleague who is a ST holder and he even admitted it when I pointed it out to him.

If they lost Luiz like you say, they have Zouma who's been warming the bench, and could step in at any time. Terry still does a job, and Ake did well against us. They have a squad, they got lucky this season re injuries no doubt. No CL no EL, we know that.

Don't know why you think it's strange for a Spurs fan to give an opinion. They have a squad, and we don't have their depth, 'cause they have the dosh. Willian, Bats, Pedro, Fabregas, Zouma often on their bench!

The evidence shows that one team has depth and that's us. They've made 38 changes all season in the league and nine of them were last night. They've had no injuries or Europe to navigate. They might have names on the bench, but 14 players have played for them with regularity this season. We've had big players out for big periods and pushed them pretty hard. One team has shown they have a capable squad, the other showed they have a strong first XI and couple of subs.

FFS, last thing I want to do is argue on behalf of Chelsea! We had significant injuries during the season, Chelsea didn't. We had CL then EL, Chelsea didn't. That happened this season.

Chelsea's bench compared to ours reflects their financial resources. And it showed during the cup semi. How many games did Zouma, Fabregas, Bats, Willian play this season?

But now you've shifted the argument. Are you talking about squad depth, or the amount of money spent?

Obviously the latter Chelsea win hands down. They may in principle have squad depth, but they've not proved it, they've not actually displayed it, they haven't had to. We have. It doesn't fit some people's agendas about players like Trippier, Davies, Sissoko, etc. But lots of players who would be in our first XI have played many minutes this year. Our squad depth is a massive reason why we're second, and I would argue it's more a positive that's got us second, rather than a weakness that cost us the league.
