It also seems too good to be true.
I don't think so. When we had Arnesen we bought great quality for peanuts.
It's called a proper scouting system - get the player you need, not the easy path of overpaying for recognised quality.
Look at the likes of Wanyama, Eriksen or Toby. All relatively cheap in the current market, turned into proper beasts by Poch.

So So True... We can't compete with whatever Man City are going to spend anyway! Even Chelsea....

I get what you're saying about good scouting, but if a player's that good, it's highly unlikely that just one club is aware of him. If we're interested in him, you can be pretty sure that other, wealthier, clubs are also interested. Chelscum wouldn't hesitate to pay over the odds (while having a good idea of what we can and will spend) for a player just to stop any other club signing him.

Yep - I have to admit it - I despise Chelscum more than the arse

Homegrown rule...
They can't anymore. They simply don't have enough English talent.

True.... but in their mind (Chelsea, Man City etc.) they have bigger fish to fry and a money bags reputation to keep, whereas we feed from the second table. Effectively, our top of the list option is their 7th or 8th and they won't have the time to shit in everyone's nest - there's a lot of teams on that second table.... Some agents and players will always be wise to their tactics too, not many but the pool will be big enough for us.

Once again we will just back our pathways and coaches and on recent history I'm cool with that.
