@Hoddtastic72 and @Luka Van der Bale please rescind your disagrees and accept my prediction superiority.

I'll be collecting a tenner from a gooner at work who, at the start of the season, said Vardy would easily score more than 15 league goals.

He won't accept my prediction superiority as he's already got his excuse in a few weeks ago by blaming Raneri. I know, thick as pig shit. I almost feel guilty taking his money.

Just watching Premier League Daily on SSN and it is getting annoying how every time we're brought up the conversation always ends with such negativity. It's never normally 'they had a great season, they have wembley next season which will be tough but if they keep their group together and potentially add to it it will be greatly interesting', it's always 'Can they keep their players? If they don't win anything players are going to want to leave, when moving into a new stadium it's always very tough' etc.

I'm not saying they're not valid points at all and it's all to be expected by the media to be honest but hearing it time after time from multiple and the same pundits repeatedly, as a Spurs fan can become very annoying.

"Nearly, but not quite after another season of progress for Mauricio Pochettino's emerging young team.

Spurs have an outstanding core of young, English players.

If they can keep them together, add to the squad, and find a way to win at Wembley then a trophy will surely come soon. But they now need to win something.

McNulty's pre-season prediction: 5th

What he said: "Tough call this one as Pochettino's side were excellent last season and were right in the title shake-up for so long. In reality, you could throw a blanket over the likes of Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool and Arsenal in the battle for top-four places."

Managerial mark: Mauricio Pochettino - 7/10.

Stat: Tottenham scored more goals and conceded fewer than any other team in the Premier League, beating champions Chelsea's goal difference by eight"

Mangerial mark of 7/10??? That's the same that he's given to Klopp, Koeman, Eddie Howe, Craig Shakespeare, Allardyce and Sean Dyce. What an absolute helmet!

We could take that as a compliment. That second is where a team of our quality should end up. Apart from the fact the idiot predicted us to finish 5th.

Yeah, I see your point but who put this team together and got them performing much better than the sum of their parts? And yes the contradiction of a team well and truly exceeding his predicted finish yet him still rating their manager's performance as fairly average is galling.

Surprised he didn't give Klopp 12/10, he's so far up his ass.

yeah but the CL 17-18 thread has pretty much established that we are likely to be in pot 3, and it's highly unlikely that we will get an "easy" draw

So Liverpool will have to qualify and will get an "easier" group? Why will Man Ure get into pot two having failed to qualify for the past two seasons whereas we have?

No Liverpool, if they win their qualifier, will be in the same pot as us, but they don't mention that.

Surely the aim of qualifying for the champions league is to play against these top tier clubs? If we wanted to play FC Lapland then we'd just have finished fifth like Arsenal.

It's funny how Pool have qualified for the Champions League, when we finished fourth they kept saying we had made the qualifying stages of the CL. No mention of qualifying for them.

Also this is Pool's 2nd top for finish in 8 years whilst it is our 4th.
