One thing I can envisage working well in cup games and the like is Njie playing well off Janssen. The latter using his strength and holding it up an playing little balls round the corner for Clint to run onto.

Till today Njie is not what we need. I hope we find a solution from Poch.... This is an expensive experiment.

I'm very happy if we keep N'Jie one more season. I dislike selling players after one season, and I'm disgusted by selling for a loss after one season. N'Jie's strengths are interesting enough that I'd like him to have a fresh season with clean slate and water under the bridge.

Manager reveals Tottenham still have clause to bring player back

Asked if N’Jié would be there next year, he said, relayed by Le Phocéen on Youtube: “I think Tottenham have a new option to bring him back to the club, and the date for that hasn’t passed yet. Until we know what they want to do with him, we can’t say anything.

“We can still logically think that he will be with us next season, that he’ll be under contract next season with Olympique de Marseille.”

So they're looking at another season long loan?

No idea, but it looks like they want to keep him. I think we would look to sell him if that's the case.
I would much rather him to be kept but loaned to a premier league club. He originally came to the club as a striker, Brighton would be a good move but highly unlikely.

Yeah but who will buy him?

I read those quotes as his full transfer to Marseille being a definite part of the loan so long as we do t recall him before a certain date.

Shame about his attitude, he was great for us against Monaco and I thought if he could improve his first touch that he would become a solid player.

Tottenham decide not to activate Clinton N’Jie clause

Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur have decided not to activate a clause in their complex arrangement with Marseille that would allow them to recall Cameroonian international Clinton N’Jie, according to L’Équipe.

There was an automatic buy-clause in their loan agreement with Marseille for Clinton N’Jie last summer, which OM have had to act on, but there was also a clause that allowed THFC to take N’Jie back if they decided he was worth it which would have over-ruled Marseille’s automatic buy clause.

THFC have decided not to activate that and N’Jie will remain a Marseille player.

Strange signing all round. Never looked like he had anything close to the technical ability to play for us.
