That Harry Hotspur is sensationalising it like a proper daily mail journalist - why would our own fans turn this in to something it isn't. I really get frustrated by fellow fans sometimes.

Why are people even reading that noxious twats rantings?
He's always been the same, he's clearly deeply unhappy with his life, so takes it out on the club he 'loves'.

I listened to it and every aspect of what he said was true. Our squad needs strengthening. Marquee signing would always indicate we mean business. A player would only stay so long at a club unless they're winning things, earning a shit load or simply a fan of the club.

But marquee signings don't always work out. Sissoko was supposed to be a marquee signing. Ozil, Di Maria, those signings didnt work out for scum and Man U.

Sissoko was not marquee signing. He was a massively overpriced panic buy signing

Also you have just cherry picked two proper marquee signings that haven't worked out. You could have also included Pogba. But there are plenty that have too! A much longer list

I'm any case thought it was a bit of a strange interview from Rose in that he was almost too honest. Nothing he said was controversial but shows footballers are unable to live in the moment

We are all delighted with 2nd and he progress but Rose aged 26 is clearly thinking he has 4-5 years left of the prime part of his career so is making it clear what he needs to see to match his ambition and a big signing would be a signal

Ozil's had a shit season this year but overall he's been pretty good for them.

30 million is a hell of a lot to pay for someone who isn't a marquee signing.
A panic buy, after finishing 3rd in the league? I don't think so.

Based on the majority of your posts I would agree thinking is not something you are particularly good at

I've just listened to the interview nothing earth shattering, of course some players will feel it's time to move on and take on a new challenges, the only thing we can do as a club to safeguard ourselves is tie our best players down to long contacts, which is exactly what we've done.

Depends on your definition of marquee signing.

Do you consider Andy Carroll as a marquee signing when Liverpool paid (even more that Sissoko's transfer fee) for him?
