Well batman was obv not good enough so they haven't played him, let's see who they have next year! Arsenal have Giroud and Wellbeck, city Aguero, Jesus, ineacho. Utd have Martial, Rashford, Ibra, Rooney. Liverpool have Sturridge on the bench.

Welbeck ? Are you calling either him or Giroud Title Winning strikers ?Jesus and Iheanacho are kids not title winning strikers - yet anyway. Rooney, Martial and Rashford haven't scored 13 goals between them all season. Both Alli and Son outscored them om their own. Sturridge scored 3.

Would love Douglas Costa, not so
Much for his footballing but it would be the closest chance of having my name on the back of a Spurs jersey

You know you can pretty much get them to put whatever you want on the back of a Spurs shirt. I know a guy that works in Sports Direct, he'll do it for a tenner.

Although Son showed glimpses of his quality in his first season there is no doubt he truly excelled this season.

He took a season to bed in properly. I hope Janssen gets the chance to do likewise. However if we do move him on perhaps it's to do with doubts over his fitness and keeping up with the pace of this league.

Yep, if you look at the reactions to Son after his first season, many wanted him sold. I always thought that was odd given he did have a significant foot injury and he did show well on occasions.

I think the same can be said about Janssen, except for the injury stuff. He's super raw. We all knew this as he came with very little experience. He was always going to take time, but the "other" stuff outside of what makes a well-rounded striker (basically, all the shit outside of scoring) really was there. Unfortunately, 6 goals over the course of the season is not good enough. And, who are we to oppose what Poch thinks, should he actually not deem him to be up to snuff?

We have every right to oppose transfer decisions, given those decisions that have been horrid and faulty transfer dealings over the last three summers.

It's a tad different, ain't it? I feel as though Pochettino has a better idea in terms of what guys actually fit into his plans. I'm not talking about the incomings, I'm talking about the guys he has seen, in training, over the course of a year. If he looks at Janssen and says "I don't see it, Daniel" then he should be sold if he thinks he can't get what he needs out of him.

The incomings have been odd. No one is refuting that and that wasn't the intention of my post. My post was in reference to the players we currently have, the ones Pochettino knows many times over better than what we ever could.

If levy really did ask for Rashford in return, that's brilliant.

'We'd like to sign Dier'
'We'd like to sign Rashford'
'Ha! No. He's one of England's brightest young talents'
'Are you saying Dier isn't?'
'Well, no. I am just saying he's not....oh forget it. Bye, Daniel'
'Bye, Ed'

It probably would go more like this:
'We'd like to sign Dier'
'We'd like to sign Rashford'
'Ha! How does 150m Pounds sound for Dier?'
'Done.'
*Ed hangs up, feeling proud of his negotiating skills.*

I have to say that I believe Gabriel Jesus to be of title winning calibre

That boy can play

I'm not at all worried about that Dier-Rashford itk.

Around 1995 Ferguson tried to bring a teenage Rio Ferdinand to Utd from West Ham. Utd's chairman rang up about it and West Ham said 'sure you can have him if you give us Beckham'. In other words 'fuck off'

Phew! Thank God for that.

It's great that Rio never joined ManU.

And it's not like we have form when it comes to selling to them...

Oh my god.

The merits of Jansen
Bollocks about title winning strikers
The merits of strikers who are considered 'title winning'

Tonight is going to go down as the night of the long knives.
