I'd be really sad to see him go :(

I think he'll actually become a very decent player, and he's been improving a lot recently.
Totally agree- I'd like another season out of him. His hold up play is good, add some more goals and he becomes a very good squad member for us. I also like his physical game; he's hard to bully about

Article says the plan was for HK & VJ to be a partnership when required, but that the plan didn't work out.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but how often did they actually play as a pair? There was one game early doors when we started 2 up front IIRC - second or third game of the season or something - but I don't think I can recall another instance until very late in the season. So I'm not sure the plan failed as much as it was never really tried.

Seems like a nice lad and there is no reason he can't go onto be a good player. In our current situation we need a back up for harry that is guaranteed to get goals though.

I think it would be rough on him if we were to jettison him after one year. Look at Son this year and how he improved from his first season. There is clearly a player in there, but I feel that he may need just a little luck to get him going. His confidence would then soar. His hold up play, power and awareness of others around him is good and will get better. He laid on a couple of superb assists last season for fellow players.

Give him at least one more season then make a decision next year.

Just my 2 cents.

Nice guy and a good footballer but he just doesn't suit us.
Agree. Unfortunately he falls slightly short of the quality we require.
The way he improved from September to May, I'd be excited to have him in the squad next season.
He hardly played and when he did, he was no game changer.. I recall the Villa and Wycombe games in particular.. If he was right for the team, then why was Son prefered to him during Kane's two spells on the sidelines.. He is limited and unfortunately those limitation will prevent him from being the player we need.

In the Wycombe game he won and scored the pen that got us back in the match and laid on Son's winner. How is that "being no game changer?"

I will be amazed if he is at the club come the start of the season. If doesn't matter who the club is no striker can expect to score a single league goal from open play and expect to remain there. I expect a replacement to be one of our main priorities this window.

I would be all behind keeping him for an extra season. Some players really do just need that time to settle in unfortunately.

Importantly he seems to have decent character and you can tell by the reaction of the squad when he finally scored from open play that he is liked in the dressing room.

If he was our main striker it would be a crisis but he is primarily a back up so let him have another window and if still the same we cut our losses.

I have a strange feeling if we keep Vinny for next season, he will prove his worth, like sonny did this season.

I suspect the coaching team would agree with you there. They're not stupid, they accept that it can take a young player a bit of time to settle down. If he is working hard and improving, they will be happy with his progress.

I agree , new league ,the premier league is the toughest to play in , it take most players at least one season to adjust, son was the same , look at him now . I hope we give him another season .Also he has only been playing top fight football for two seasons .
