Tottenham willing to pay clause by Ricardo Pereira
12:50 by Octávio Lousada Oliveira 0

Lateral side FC Porto, who was loaned to Nice, is the priority to fill Kyle Walker's imminent exit. Transfer can be closed for 25 million

Tottenham want to ensure the hiring of Ricardo Pereira and, according learns SÁBADO , English badge admits even pay the expected termination clause in the contract Portuguese side FC Porto 25 million euros.

Spurs coach Mauricio Pochettino closely followed the two seasons of the 23-year-old athlete who was loaned to Nice and has already set him the main target for the right side of the defense in this transfer window, since the departure of the current Owner of the venue, Kyle Walker, is considered inevitable at White Hart Lane - Manchester City looks like the most likely destination for the English international.

The leaders of the London club, know to SÁBADO, are willing to bring to the Dragon a proposal of 25 million in the coming days, although they admit that SAD blue and white until agree to close the deal by the versatile player - both acts as lateral as in the two Sides of the attack - for 20 million.

In any case, Tottenham is not the only training attentive to Ricardo Pereira. Barcelona, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have also been looking for conditions to hire the young Luso, although in such cases they have a plan B to attack the market.

For the Catalans, the priority is Hector Bellerín, but Arsenal will hardly let the Spanish out for a budget of less than 40 million euros - which is why the benfikista Nelson Semedo may also be out of this equation. In the case of citizens, Ricardo Pereira appears as an alternative to Walker, who is the priority of coach Pep Guardiola; While the arrival of Antero Henrique - who knows Portuguese well - to the post of sports director of PSG could also help the rapprochement between the millionaire Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and the SAD portista.

It is recalled that Ricardo Pereira has a contract with FC Porto until June 2019 and the dragons intend to renew this link. It remains to be seen whether the intention is to play a major role, especially with the arrival of a new coach, Sérgio Conceição, or, on the other hand, the national runners-up only want to be able to toughen negotiations with potential stakeholders.

I actually think this would be an astute move if Walker were to leave. I would prefer Pereira to Sidibe from Monaco.

Mentioned this in another thread the other day, he would be my absolute number 1 replacement for Walker, think he is an outstanding athlete and offers great attacking qualities but can defend fairly well as well!! Young and hungry, with a proper engine! 50+mill for Walker and RP for 25 would be a boss piece of business

Porto just had some FFP sanctions handed down today. Limited to a 22 man squad. Maybe they need to raise some cash,

I love Walker to death, remember him breaking into the team under Harry, catching stick for being "brainless" but humbly becoming our most consistent player and one of the finest defenders in the league. So forgive me if Pereira doesn't excite me too much -- that said, if Walker does go this guy looks to have the pace and skill to replace him. Hard to tell from a highlight tape whether he has the boundless energy that I think separates Walker/Rose from other fullbacks though.

If we could get this kid for at most HALF of what we get for Walker we've had a blinder IMO. This would soften the blow of losing him massively.

Seems to have excellent pace along with the standard Portuguese technical ability, and has good attacking prowess as a converted winger. You'd expect Poch to make him even better too and hopefully he'd be more open to Poch's rotation policy in busy periods than walker seemingly wasn't.

Imagine adding Pereira, Sessegnon and Lemar, quite the injection of pace (1st class to dreamland I know).

Don't know anything about him, but he looks to have the basic ingredients of a fullback we would like, speaks multiple languages too.

Here's a match video, but it looks like he plays RM, not RB

Looks good going forward, but I'm not so sure about his defending. Good if we play with wingbacks, but not sure if we play 4 at the back

Want.

That video makes him look like an upgrade to Walker!

Having said that, if there was a KW highlights video, he'd probably look amazing too.
