I'm sure JJ said that we'd be buying a replacement for Walker if he left as KWP isn't ready yet.

I think Veltman will be Walker' s replacement but KWP will get game time in lesser games to start with.

I am not getting carried away. The club have clearly stated that players will only leave if Poch wants them to, and with KWP waiting in the wings maybe Poch thinks the time is right to cash in a £40M asset and reinvest that money in other areas of the team. Wanyama, Dier, Alderweireld and Vertonghen provide a good platform for the WBs to attack and with Rose and KWP aggressively attacking on each flank, we will have fantastic width, pace and creativity.

Entirely hypothetical but if I could choose between:

A) Keep Walker and do not sign any new players
B) Sell Walker for £40M, promote KWP to first team squad, and spend £40M on a top drawer attacking player.

I know which option I would take.
Well that's a simplistic view. If he's completely out of his depth, we have just Trippier, who's not as good as Walker, playing most of the games with no real back up

Half agree with this and half think if Poch makes the decision to do that it will be based on how he competes in training against our established players. It would definitely be a risk but he has something about him.

Yeah, I mean if he's good enough then amazing, spend the 50 mill on another striker and play KWP. I'm just saying there's a very good chance, if he has to mark Sanchez, Hazzard, Martial ect in 6 weeks, he maybe like a lost boy. They will have to start gently with him, Carling cup ect. That would then mean we can't rotate trippier.
Plus how does trippier react to having no competition? Does he push on?

He's been training with 1st xi for ages at least half the season .Poch must know if he's ready or not .Pretty sure he would have played when Walker / trip were both injured .Lets be honest he seems him train every day ,poch will know .Said it before Imo walker is feeling the heat from 2 other RBs .he knows city will be an easy ride .

Think I'm right in saying Veltman hasn't got much pace?

I think he has got average pace but offers a more defensive option than Trippier or KWP. I think Trippier will be our first choice RWB if Walker does go (which hopefully he doesn't)

But I'm right in saying, we will be Walker in that position than Walker and Trippier

Impressive. He kind of reminds me of Ashley Cole in the way he moves with the ball. Will be interesting to see how he develops.

Which is why it's all about what Poch thinks.

Such a talented dribbler on the ball! Him and Onomah are so good with it at their feet.

That Dominic Solanke is shite

Looks a lot like Naughton on that left hand side, always pushes it onto his right to either switch the play or pass it to the LCM or LCB. And judging how Poch only has left footers playing in the left defensive positions the only way through will be at RB/RWB.

I really hope that this summer we are wise with our spending And don't close off the routes for Onomah, Walker-Peters and Carter-Vickersto make their breakthroughs

Don't think there's ever a thought he would play on left for spurs .unless in a major emergency .he is clearly a RB

Yes. But I think in the final he played much less aggressive because of the tactics. Play safe. He did better than naughton in attacking as a LB in previous U20 world cup matches
