The type of goals he scored, my lord...

He doesn't seem to score shit goals, and when he does they become good goals anyway because there's usually some hilarious keeper fuck up involved.

More goals than 'the second coming' Mahrez managed last season, and nearly all of them are real quality strikes. He's a seriously important player to us now.

Looks like he's come off injured as he's fallen akwardly on his arm in the first half for South Korea qualifier against Qatar. Hope it's nothing serious. Cruical game for South Korea but they are losing 2-0 after an hour.

Apparently the ave length of time out injured for a fractured forearm is 9 weeks, so should only miss the first game of the season, depending on how much conditioning he is able to do in that time.

Figure he'll have one of those Jamie Vardy casts :(

Not sure how bad the injury is, but a fractured arm is typically a 6 week injury/recover. I broke mine 2 times when I played baseball and even when I broke my throwing arm I was out of a cast in 6 weeks and immediately back throwing. It obviously depends on the severity of the injury (mine was a clean break, no compound fracture), but for a footballer it should be a matter of him being able to get back even quicker. He can still be up to speed on most things fitness-wise and depending on how the healing is, could even be playing in a protective cast/splint type device. In all honesty, outside of a finger or nose, it's the best bone he could've broken.

Such a shame for Son. He didn't have a pre season last year due to the Olympics and now this.

It would have been great for Poch to have the full squad to work with ahead of the new campaign. Given how influential Sonny was after struggling for games at the start of last season it would have been good for him to try and continue his good form into the new season.

All depends on the type of break but if it is displaced at all the cast will have to be over the elbow to stabilize it which makes it more difficult to maintain balance when running. Would still expect he should be training in 5 weeks or so which is probably only or week or so later than he would have been since Poch plans to give everyone on international duty an added rest.

Read something on Facebook from CoysNews that he would miss both pre-season and start of the season. Wtf? I've broken both my wrists at the same time. I was disabled for two weeks and totally healed after around 4 weeks. I've broken my shoulder = 4-6 weeks. My thumb 4 weeks.

Ffs, I were even out drinking the same day I broke my shoulder.

Chill people.

Seems like a long time for a broken arm.

Lamela out until October too, and no Alli for the first 3 CL games.

We need Lemar and Barkley, or players of that ilk
