get shot of Sissoko... maybe not , could be quite window
Shoot me now. I'd rather keep him than sell him and replace him with absolutely no one. He's kinda got a couple of legs if you know what I mean. I hope there is a B or C otherwise I'd rather elevate some of the youngsters.

Edit - sorry A&C, derailed I'll stop that line of comment.

Waiting until deadline day hurts them more than us. Barkley is a key player for them. If they sell him on deadline day, whatever the money, they risk not getting a suitable replacement. For us, Barkley would be an additional player - if we get him, great, if we don't then we're no worse off than last season.
looks like they are doing what we did the summer Bale left, bringing in replacements first, then selling.

Similar but not quite the same. We spent approximately what we expected to fetch for Bale. They so far have spent way over what they should reasonably expect to get for Barkley. Unless of course they expect fetch over 60 million for him

they might be factoring in Lukaku money too, who knows.

either way, they've brought in players already, so Barkley going on the last day isn't going to leave them in the lurch.

Think that's Lukaku money...

I can only think that there's players we are confident on that haven't been mentioned yet. I'm expecting the unexpected a little bit now.

Like the itk re Dier, love it in fact.
Just a quickie for those frustrated on here re the lack of any signings. I just see a west ham pal of mine,he went, "you yids signed anybody yet?" When I said no he replied "To be fair you don't need to really, just keep the one's you've got, your team is quality, probably the complete opposite window that we need :ROFLMAO:"

Considering many have argued they don't see where Barkley fits in or if he actually needed, I don't see the problem with waiting out the summer to see if we can nick him on deadline day. If we get him, great. If not, we can give more chances to Winks, Edwards, Onomah etc

Same every year, some people get upset because they see other teams spunking loads of cash early on and think we'll be left behind.
Remember the summer loads of posters were crying about Crystal Palace leaving us behind because they signed Johan Cabaye?...good times.

dragon1 on in dier to manu thread: People underestimate the love the players have for poch and what they want to achieve together , the only player I thought may go this summer was walker and I still hold that opinion

Can you imagine the meltdown when poch leaves?

Most of our publicised targets (Sessegnon, Lemar, Barkley and Pereira, according to various ITK) have not yet moved so I can see why we're not panicking as a club. We've also not lost any of a squad that finished second, which is most important.

Transfer envy is rife these days, frustration about our business always seems to peak around when a top six club announces someone (such as Salah recently).

Personally now we have Pochettino I don't place as much emphasis on the transfer merry-go-round as most fans and the media, it's just a part of the bigger puzzle.

That said I'd love us to bring in Lemar, Sessegnon, Barkley and Pereira (if Walker goes) ASAP :ROFLMAO:
