Very clever by baldy if you ask me. Everton wouldnt sell barkley last summer so we bought sissoko to stop everton getting him. This year Barkley has only a year left and sissoko is making his welcome to everton video.
Swapsies anyone??

Ok so totally all made up

In last couple of summer windows, most of the key signings like Son, was done out of nowhere, with no hint of prior rumours. So, I am not too worried with lack of activity. Its very much possible, we have already identified the realistic targets & just waiting for opportune time to go all in for the player.

I'm positive that there were Son rumours. I had him down as one of the cabbages, I must have had gotten from somewhere ... Wanyama was heavily discussed beforehand, Alderweireld broke down the SC server. So yeah, I welcome some good olde fuzz about a player.

Waiting until deadline day hurts them more than us. Barkley is a key player for them. If they sell him on deadline day, whatever the money, they risk not getting a suitable replacement. For us, Barkley would be an additional player - if we get him, great, if we don't then we're no worse off than last season.

They already signed the replacement in Klaasen

£50m for a player in the last year of his contract? No chance. We should offer them £53m plus Sissoko.

I jest of course. I'm quite happy with it all. We will all have another year's experience as a team and if we can keep everyone, I'd be happy with just a couple of really good attacking signings. Fingers crossed for Lemar.

city have got a zillion attacking midfield players though, i cant see them being interested
Don't we have a good few also? Depends if you include Alli, Debelle, Lamella, Song, NoCanDo and Winks etc but I think you should as we don't call them strikers. Also I would think we will prioritise a striker first and then replacing any players we may loose ( like Walker).

I would agree with that as ITK has been quite weak last few windows. However I would like us to get our players in earlier. I think we never hit the ground running because of this and it must change. We need all our players in before start of season.

We won 5 out of our opening 7 games last year mate, are you expecting us to win every game?

Didn't we have itk to say we want Barkley recently from trix? Too much smoke without fire regarding that one and there certainly looks like there would have been contact with a lot more itks saying we have? Don't believe there isn't anything there. Just my grapes on the matter.

i think the only problem is that everton is asking for an unreasonable price (50m?) for a player wanting out and having a year left on his contract

Looking at the info from @spursfan77 it say Had a very interesting chat to someone last night who is right in the middle of this deal. As things presently stand, there is no chance of him coming to us, and from what he told me, that is very unlikely to change.

The thing that stands out is In the middle of this deal Which implies we are talking.

There is no way we are going to pay anything close to £50 mil if thats what they are really asking, so it would have been a short conversation.

Pretty sure Everton will soften their stance. Whether that's enough for Levy, we shall see.

Apparently Southampton announced Mauricio Pellegrino as their new manager. Maybe they can't still move on with Pochettino.

Sounds like a Levy sort of transaction - saving money by bringing out the old track suits with 'MP' on them.

Well the sort of deal our leader will look consists of the following £250 to be spread out over 10 years plus two seasons of Tottenham programs from 1976-78.
If that doesn't seal the deal come August 31st then frankly nothing will.
