TC on simb: My mate just sat next to rose on a flight home from Ibiza, he said he won't be leaving this summer due to the injury, he said the club are looking at young potential signings and won't make any big name signings which he said he was a bit gutted about . Nothing too exciting in there . My mate said his leg was in a brace and he was still limping quite heavily

Well, that kinda sucks. Would like a 'big name' signing every now and then. Also sounds like Danny will be off next summer.

Whilst with the current lack of any info coming out of the club, it's a welcome tidbit of info, Im sceptical of the top brass at the club sitting the players down at the end of the season and disclosing their transfer plans. With our current, pretty successful history of young players and gambling to a degree on potential, it's a reasonable guess that's the way we would go. Especially with the stadium needing paying for and Poch's philosophy.

Nice to hear he won't be going anywhere if true. For what it's worth I hope the stuff with walker is resolved soon and if he's gonna go then the fella from France is brought in asap. Would like to think any players would benefit from a full Poch pre season to integrate easier into the side.

In Danny's recent interview it did sound like he was talking about Walker, but maybe with this he was talking about himself.
We'll never know for sure but time will tell.

I doubt it means anything of the kind. It's equally likely that it's a classic case of hearing what you want/expect to hear. I'd speculate that what Rose did, when asked if he was staying, was to guffaw, point to his leg and say something like "Leave when I have an injury like this? You must be kidding!"

Obviously I don't know. But it was a pretty stupid question to ask now.

Yep. A quality signing can really push us to the top. Really could be the only thing we need tp spur us on and it could provide a lift to the players. Wont happen though. Also sounds like Rose wants out now but cant go as he's hurt. This really seems to be another bit in the line of seemingly negative info this summer despite. Seems to be alot more than usual, certainly more than last summer. Is it just a case of our players being tapped up by clubs with higher earnings potential?

hertyid: Kane wouldn't undoubtedly be the world's most expensive player, by some margin. But there is no chance in hell that he is leaving. I will donate $1000 to coys if he does. He is the future of the club, future captain, club legend, everything is being built around him.

These types of ITK always amaze me. Speaking to someone on a flight?...not happening.

Maybe it is because i am not built for air travel. My knees are wedged against the seat in front of me, i have to fold my arms in because my shoulders are broader than the fucking seat, the arm rest is roughly an inch lower than my contorted arms/shoulers would allow me to take advantage of and i am probably wondering why someone won't shut that child up, while both hoping the fucker in front of me doesn't recline and destroy me knees and glaring at the woman who is built like an elf curled up in the exit row.....if you aren't going to even use the leg room of the exit row why the fuck are you in it?

How the hell could i hold a coherent conversation not laced with pure rage in that type of situation?

Would someone on 50k+ a week fly in cattle class?

You realise that in making this comment, you are your self falling victim to what you call a classic case of hearing what you want, and then you go on to invent what might have been said :D.
IMO, I believe there was a very large chance that one of the LBs would in fact be leaving this summer.

It's pretty hard to speak to someone when they slip on a pair of £5,000 diamond encrusted Beats headphones as soon as you approach them... Lol.

i doubt very much that Daniel Levy, Poch and Danny Rose who has been injured since Feb had a meeting to discuss transfer targets and that Danny Rose would give that much away to a random stranger when he would be fully media trained to deal with those types of questions. Just because someone is young does not mean they wouldnt be a big name or marquee signing. We have had ITK that we was after a household name

Kane news is Fake News obviously. For some reason I trust Kane like I trust Tim Duncan. Dude will fight for Spurs through and through and the only thing ending his time with Spurs is retirement.

As for the plane ITK...grain of salt, but kind of see it playing out that way.

For some reason I feel Poch has this sense that he can just get more out of the players he has. That with one more off season together, the team will gel that much more and show the rest of the league what stability and togetherness can do. Poch sometimes comes off as this tough guy, but I see this zen mode to him, this calm traditionalist to him that really believes hard work pays off and that potential is trapped in everyone.

Plus look at it this way:

- winks is like a new singing. Once healthy he will be that much more confident in himself when out there. If he wasn't injured we would have seen him play a lot more heading up to the end of the season.

- Lamela is a new signing. I believe we missed his effort and creativity.

- Youth: Edwards...the mystery that might just pay off. Josh: a CM just waiting to blossom. CCV: Poch clearly believes in him.

For me that is roughly 5 players that will be taking significant minutes and the model sticks with the Poch ethos of crack the skin and find the potential in what you have verse going and spending 100m on Pogba.

Ibiza, wasn't it? Not a luxurious destination in reality. Loads of standard european low-cost airlines with little or no compartments in the air craft. All I'm trying to say is, the story is plausible enough.

Well at least you have the spatial awareness and basic human decency to adapt to your surroundings. Fuckfaces who fail to take off their backpacks in a packed train, hog the whole street while walking on tiptoes, take up more than their seat with their feet or hands, and cycle on the pedestrian walkway like they own the fucking place (and have the temerity to shout at pedestrians who are in their way), deserve a special place in hell.

Sessegnon should be priority No1 then. Fits the M.O m. of young player rather than big name, but could/should be Rose's long term replacement.

Sad thing is if he is thinking that way others must as well the want to see big names come in not 17/18 year olds with potential.
Still nothing can be done regarding it it's levys club and he does it the way he wants.
