I'm guessing the club has scouted better alternatives than Chich. What ever happens I can see us needing to sell before we buy. Whether that is Sissoko, Janssen or Wimmer I think sales will see us spring to life.

I'm afraid that might be difficult now our dumping ground of choice, Hull, have been relegated.

Also, don't forget we've already sold Bentaleb since January, we should have ~£16m coming in for that transfer. Oh and Fazio for £2.7m.

My opinion is we can't not buy anyone you have to freshen up the squad and inject something else in.
Even the best team's in the world add 1/2 each year so why should we be any different.

If it is the former and there are secret goings on we've had quite a lot of these surprising transfers over the years to be fair.

Dier, Stambouli, Son, Chadli to name a few.

Hopefully we will get one but I have a feeling we will just try for Pereira if Walker goes and we might make a Berahino-esque attempt for Barkley with likely similar results.

Certainly looking that way on the information provided.

That said looking at Son as the template there must be a fair few options out there for us across Europe if we are clever. That's what I'm holding on to at the moment...

People clamour for a big name and spending money but from the way jj has put down the transfers it sounds as though the media are clutching at straws and so are we! The signings maybe all left field and one obvious one. I am hoping however that we are sat on a great transfer but as long as Pochettino is happy then why shouldn't we be. They aren't just sat there doing jack. People need to chill out man
