All ITK is not always true but this last piece has a very familiar ring to it as we have heard time and again that levy is a pain in the arse transfer wise and I fully subscribe to the notion that he fucks things up for us more often than not in transfer dealings, can imagine him being a right awkward bastard to deal with, he may say he wants the best deal for the club but you can't keep spinning that line as it gets very boring!!!

we've just had our best season for decades. We've progressed as a team and as a club. year on year. its all been very harmonious even in interviews with Poch and Levy they have been very complimentary towards eachother. I just cant see how this info sits. with everything we have seen recently.

The only bit I could possibly understand is players not being happy with the money they are on. But then don't sign the ridiculously long contract.

My unwavering support of Daniel is wavering. Especially if fee's have been agreed and he's trying moving the goalposts.

It was smart when he first started but other clubs are wise to the tricks now and we are far more visible as a club. Whilst this happens in business all the time (including someone tried it on me when we got our first round VC funding), there are only so many times that you can get away with it.

These things can change very quickly but it seems that there is a consensus between @JUSTINSIGNAL and @The Goat. I feel that we need a busy week next week

I don't think it's panic stations just yet. The ITK is most likely exaggerated. I can fully understand why Poch or the key men would have concerns and would want to exert some pressure however.

Surprised that it was suggested that Willian was an example of one of the transfers that we f'd up as it was my understanding that he ended up having a preference for Chelsea. No way we would ever have been able to match wages with them.

That conviction falls in the "dumb" category and fits well with every single post you've ever made.

Some people can appreciate the massive development of the club as a brand and its on pitch performance under Levy's leadership. Yes, there are many fair gripes you can have with him but some of the toy-throwing stinks of impatient, ungrateful ballbags that are crying their eyes out because we haven't signed anyone yet - regardless of the fact that we have arguably the best (and most settled) first 11 in the league.

Who agreed the deals for all the excellent players we have? Who has established the infrastructure that has led to us having one of the most productive youth academies in the world?

People like you epitomise why Spurs fans are so universally disliked. Get a fucking grip.
Excellent post.

I'm surprised people aren't reading more into the tone of voice. It's bitchy and resentful and snide throughout, with the constant references to "the man at the top". I'm surmising that The Goat is using direct quotations from the source, because that tone is consistent and atypical.

I suggest reading it again, but starting with the assumption that the source/writer was a person with a grievance, who is amplifying, exaggerating, dramatising and perhaps inventing.

None of it reads as neutrally motivated insight. It reads as shit-stirring and trouble-making. Even if there is some truth in it.

This hits the nail on the head.....how many pictures did we have of players signing new contracts?. Only one who has not agreed new contract is Toby. Yes so city and chelsea are being bankrolled....we do not have that luxury so I stand by the managing of the books.....FIFA should do more to ensure that other clubs have to

Christ. How old are you?

You're the poster formerly known as JamieDaCosta aren't you? Or you're related and it runs in the family.
He has to be a young kid to think the way he does.

I can see why BEN doesn’t post on SC. There would be no critique of his info but he’d be ripped to shreds for his spelling and grammar.

So let me get this straight, the reason why any protracted incoming transfer falls through is solely down to Daniel Levy? No other mitigating circumstances whatsoever?

Ok....
When you 'get it straight' i'll let you know. Nowhere, except in your head, has that been said. Anywhere.

That's about as classic a BEN piece of ITK as you can get

When the stadium build is finished and we as Spurs supporters reflect on the LEVY years, I for one will feel that the 16 years of mediocracy on the pitch will be far outweighed by the return we will receive as a club by that state- of - the -art Stadium.
