From that article:

Taylor Woodrow, part of Vinci Construction UK, will redevelop the station used by 1.3m passengers a year, by spring 2019.

Looks like the revamped stadium will be 8 or 9 months late. I wonder what, if any, effect that will have on the stadium capacity prior to the new station opening.

Fairly sure the article goes on to say that the station will continue to be in use for the majority of the upgrade works so hopefully its formal completion date will have no impact, the introduction of the new trains I assume will be in advance of the 2019 deadline and will be the big help in terms of get more fans in and out on match day...

I'm just not sure that they would bring in the longer trains in advance of the platform being lengthened, it would be a safety issue. Certainly once the works are completed it will be a big help.

True, maybe the platform will be lengthened early in the schedule and it will be the lifts and cosmetic changes that will drag the schedule out at the end? pure guess work on my par; but since no one has jumped on the news with a negative spurs stadium story (which i am sure a lot of papers would love the chance to do!) I am taking an optimistic view... we seem to have a good group on the site with knowledge so maybe someone will be able to speak with more authority

Well, that's a possibility, let's face it much of the works will depend on the platforms being in place. Let's hope the platforms at least are done by the time we need them.

Our stadium suppliers are considered to be among the best in their industries and all will play their part in helping us create one of the finest stadiums anywhere in the world for spectators, visitors and the wider community.

Zumtobel Group has been chosen as our Official Lighting Supplier, to design and develop cutting edge intelligent lighting solutions across our new stadium, including the player facilities, internal seating bowl, concourses, premium areas and the extensive glass facade that will wrap around the outside of the venue.

As our Official Stadium Cabling Infrastructure Installer, Redstone will install all the passive cabling infrastructure to support the technology systems, which will play a key role in helping us create one of the most technologically advanced stadia around.

GKR Scaffolding is a specialist in large scale construction projects and, having provided the scaffolding as part of the demolition of White Hart Lane during the past two summers, has now come on board as our Official Scaffolding Supplier for the new stadium project.

Matthew Collecott, Director of Operations, said: "We are delighted to welcome all of these key suppliers as part of the stadium development project. We want to create one of the most unique and compelling venues around and by selecting suppliers that are leaders in their field, we can be confident that they will deliver to the levels that we demand in order to realise that vision."

I know fuck all about these things but you would have thought that lighting contractors would have been sorted long before, especially to work hand in hand with the builders, as the main infrastructures was being built.

I haven't a clue either but maybe the decisions were made quite some time back and are just now being "announced"...
