I dont believe for one second that we would be involved in this and if we are it will only be to spur Everton into making a move for him so that we can get Barkley from them.

There's no way that Levy would pay even 20m for a player we sold ourselves for less than half that 3 years ago.

No, city did with Stones.

True, but at least there are a few excuses for that deal. He's homegrown, City desperately needed a CB with Kompany crocked, he was hyped as the next big thing (only cost 20m more than Rio Ferdinand did 20 odd years ago), Everton were relative rivals of City's, Chelsea wanted him, etc.

Some form of shit was started by signing him, there is no doubt about that.

Preach. I just feel like signing a shithouse footballer from a relegated team for £30m when he has no discernible ability has led to other teams realising they can take the piss. Maybe it's just the TV money, though.

I think it's a stretch too far to essentially blame an over-inflated bubble football market on the panic actions of a dwarfed, hairless PL club director and an Argentinian with so poor English he didn't understand what he was agreeing to.

do we have any kind of sell-on clause?
