Good job mate, I'll keep you posted on here how things are going over there, or you could pop in and say hi periodically, just to keep the pot simmering. Could be a watershed for Spurs fans in Asia, not to say a bloody good weekend.

Hey, masterblaster80, better keep your broke back mountain stuff to you and ex, Rsol.

somehow i knew that was coming back to haunt me...

I have gone and done it now mate. Posted it on our e-mail group and will be adding same into the forum. So let the debate begin. Knowing how efficient we all are, I reckon we should target for a date (assuming ppl are interested that is) after the season which would give us a good 9 months to plan and perfect timing to celebrate our arrival into the Champion's League. Another reason to celebrate.

count me in if its gonna be in Malaysia!

:hump:

Oi! I'm buggered if I'm going to be some kind of piss-take character round this parts. I started this thread, you know.

So I cuddled some ladyboys, after a few drinks during a quiet, underground rendezvous in a Bangkok nightclub. Who hasn't been there? :shifty:

It may help the victim in you to know that we have our very own fall guy on spursinhongkong, one bennycat, who has issues with fishnets and daleks - I won't try and explain here.

GDG, it is tough to notice the small "bulges" in their nether region on such a small avatar...

Bill, I am gonna asking you an important question: you met those ladyboys at Swellsy' Ladyboys Bar?
*Swellsy is well known on gg-net as a ladyboys bar owner in Bangkok, but no one has proof of that*

'fraid not, chief. They were the...ahem...entertainment at Calypso Bar in Bangkok city centre. Under some hotel or another.

I was there with my missus. Not sure whether that says more about me or her, though, tbh. :|

Cheers for the info, Bill.

Let's try some other more useful information. Malaysia and Thailand are both known for their delicacies, why not we nominate the best restaurants we know and compile into a food directory?

I will start of with everyones' favourite: Chicken rice.

Nomination for best chicken rice
Shop name: Mei Yang Seafood Steamboat
Location: Near Kelana Jaya LRT station (opposite of the St. Igninous Catholic church, corner shop of the shoplots), KL
Specialty: Hainanese chicken rice
Price range: Less than RM10 for a plate of chicken rice, add-on (such as liver, kidney etc) and drink
Operating hours: 11am to 1:30pm (yes, they sold out fast)

Chicken rice, there are so many different flavours. I love them all, be it the Malacca version with rice balls, Malay version fried chichken - nasi ayam, Ipoh version with bean sprouts or the popular Hainanese chicken rice.

But thus far, my favourite is still this coffee shop at Kelana Jaya. Its chicken is tender and sweet, the rice is tasty and the free soup of the day is generally taste good.

Other recommendations: Hoe Kee (Jonker Street, Malacca), New Restaurant Ipoh Chicken Rice (make sure you go to the middle shop and not the corner shop, Jalan Gasing, KL).

Cool idea. Not only do we have the biggest, kick-assiest thread in the forum, but we got food! Nice one MrG!

I'm not such a big chicken/rice guy (blasphemous, I know), but will happily recommend some great restaurants. Not least because we've just published 'The Essential Guide to Eating Out in the Klang Valley' (available at all good bookstores. Now!) with over 200 restaurants recommended

For more listings, you can go direct to the restaurants listings page of the expatriate lifestyle website. www.ex...

You're bad, Bill. This thread rocks though, top work guys. And we're definitely getting some interest in HK for a triangular footie tourney, how's it going your end?
