Hertyid on coys:
We certainly aren't going to spend 50-70m on one player.

I have heard nothing to indicate we are close to signing Pereira

why would we sanction the walker move if we didn't have a backup? seems strange, and no KWP is not the answer as we know Poch wants a replacement for Walker

What you've done here is assume Poch doesn't consider KWP a backup.

I've not seen anything particularly substantive or sustained that suggests he "wants a replacement" as you state above. A few half-articles on Pereira and a light bit of ITK at most.

Poch's first priority is the atmosphere he creates. The team. If the current component(s) don't fit then he removes them. Adding additional components is secondary. Not in your eyes, but in his.

But seeing as you have not been our manager whilst overseeing some of the best football I've seen us play, I'm gonna (controversially) side with Poch on this one. And keep my toys firmly in my pram and my spilled milk well and truly not cried over.

sorry but I thought the ITK was overwhelming in support of Poch wanting a replacement or have I completely missed something?

Agree with your post on all but one detail. The Itk on this has been JJ several times saying there will be a replacement.

"Poch wants a replacement" smacks of Poch being desperate to fill the spot. I don't see that being the case, i.e. the element of desperation is being added by the poster (which exaggerates the position greatly).

if you're criticising me for talking about ITK, which is obviously there, then why do we have this forum again?

Kyle walker peters should be given the chance to back up trippier, at least in the preseason games.
I watched some of the u20 World Cup and he looked good going forward, a decent defender, technically very good and very pacey. My only worry is his strength, but he is the same stature as pereira.

Huh?

If you post something on a forum that I don't agree with I'm more than entitled to respond. Or have I missed something?

but your disagreement is with the existence of something objectively existent

Sorry, I've obviously not explained myself. You have assumed that Poch doesn't consider KWP a backup and that he (specifically he) wants a replacement (which to me, suggests, he is unhappy with our fullback sitch). I can't see that anywhere and I'm more than happy to be corrected pal.

We feel we have got him? That just sounds like we crept up behind him, put a sack over him, stuck him in a van and have him on the way to the airport. We're just waiting for him to be flown into London so we can take the sack off and see if it's him or a lookalike.

Worked like a charm for Fergie when he signed Berbatov.
