From our buddy Lyall at Sky Sports back in June
"Sky Sports News HQ understands that Tottenham have two top targets should Kyle Walker leave for Manchester City this summer and Soares is not one of them.

Sky sources reported earlier this month that one of those options is Porto's Ricardo Pereira, while they have scouted the likes of Mitchell Weiser, Andrea Conti and Davide Zappacosta."

Conti has moved this summer already so I'm betting its Zappacosta. Never heard of him mind you.
The guy doesn't really have any YouTube videos though. Not even a Welcome to Liverpool one.

I've made the case repeatedly since the middle of last season for us to target Keita Balde. I know he's linked to Inter, but no other player in Europe fits the needs of our squad like he does, which is why I'm hoping the ITK relates to him (he also has a plethora of YouTube video compilations). Here are the reasons why he would make sense for our squad and for Levy/Poch:

-Dynamic wing forward with as much pace as Zaha and Mane. He's not as good a dribbler as Zaha, but his finishing is much better, as he can strike the ball well with both feet.

-Scored 16 goals in Serie A as a 21/22 year old and ended the season as arguably the most in-form attacking player in the league (he did this in less than 2000 minutes of match time, which is pretty ridiculous).

-Has only 1 year left on his contract at Lazio and wants out. So the fee that's been mooted at most is 25 million Euros. In this market, that's a relative bargain.

-Can play on either wing and as a lone striker (did really well for Lazio playing up top by himself toward the end of last season).

I'm sure people will bring up the attitude issues in the past, which is fair. But I'd caution people from thinking that would stop Pochettino from wanting him. Poch wanted Osvaldo for a record fee at Southampton. Despite all the issues Osvaldo had, Poch then wanted Berahino two years later despite the off pitch problems he had at West Brom. He then targeted both Sissoko, who Newcastle fans have been criticizing for years for his attitude, and Zaha, who had issues at both United and then when he came back to Palace on loan. Zaha has matured and perhaps the feeling is that Keita Balde will too.

Just my two cents.

He isn't just linked to Inter, he's apparently travelled to Milan to have a medical with them.

I think Italy are going through a spell similar to France have in the last 5-8 years whereby loads of new and exciting talent are emerging, so I'm pleased that we seem to be scouting early before these young talents become very expensive household names.

So we play in the US on July 22nd. I don't remember how far in advance we've left for preseason in the past, but I would imagine we'll be in the states at least as early as the 20th.

I know a new signing could fly over and join us, but it's not looking like we'll be taking any new signings on preseason tour.

But it's not done yet.

I'm really hoping it's him as he does offer something that we do lack in attack.

I work with a Lazio fan and he says his agent has already said he was simply having a day off. My mate says he's not convinced he's going to Inter.

Northern Italy ITK news. Some have guessed Berrardi. Not impressed if that's the case - seems like a push-and-run type of player.

Like the idea of Pjanic and/or Kean. Wouldn't think that Juventus would sell Pjanic - but could be a surprise deal a la van der Vaart. Wouldn't that be exciting?

Kean would seem the more likely due to Rob having to look at a YouTube video - as most of us here would likely have done - and that we would likely not cost too much due to age and potential contract problems with his father.

Well for what it's worth he is currently apparently in Milan as per Instagram and a photo with an Inter fan there.

The agent quote I wouldn't read too much into.

Pjanic was literally the first guess and the first name to be ruled out by JJ.
