You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

Why are people still guessing? even some people making up cryptic that never happened FFS.

I am sure if it gets closer, less sensitive or falls through someone will let us know who it was and whoever got it right can rejoice.

In 2012 we sold Modric to Real Madrid. According to ITK at the time the replacement was to be Porto's Moutinho. If I remember rightly AVB was even on the phone to Moutinho on deadline day trying to persuade him to come - but it never happened. For whatever reason. (We got Dempsey instead which must have been a big blow for AVB).

Now we've sold Walker and it appears that Perreira is the potential replacement according to ITK. (I don't think another name has been brought up by ITK - but could be wrong).

If Perreira is indeed Pochettino's first choice then I'm hoping that lightning doesn't strike twice in our dealings with Porto where the manager's preferred replacement fails to materialize.

Levy can be a tough negotiator in selling a player but he also needs to be a charming, persuasive and successful negotiator when acquiring a player.

And be able to give world class blozzers.
i cant see levy blowing anything...why would he want to throw the baby out the water, him and poch work together, ultimately its poch that's deciding on targets..not levy, sure finance is levy responsibility, but its poch and what he wants in carries the weight

I wonder if we are still trying for this household name that was mentioned earlier in the window?

Starting to be a bit underwhelmed.

I remember when JJ hinted towards signing N'Jie and it seemed to take an absolute age to go through. I can see the same thing happening here if it goes through.

If media reports are to be believed he (Pereira) has an affordable release clause. If Levy wants to get him for less then fair enough but it could get done very quickly if we pull the trigger and the player wants to come.

I've a feeling we've a few feelers out and there are more than one player for each position we're looking at

I would like to assume that we would already have targeted and signed a new right back before selling arguably our best right back to an EPL rival and consequently announced this new RB immediately before or after the Walker deal. As we have not, I assume we are relying on the younger quality we may already have.

Well for what it's worth he is currently apparently in Milan as per Instagram and a photo with an Inter fan there.

The agent quote I wouldn't read too much into.

His instagram story from yesterday is him in Notting Hill but going from the rest of the story it was to promote a clothing label.

His dad was some player. Really underrated - tricky with great dribbling and low centre of gravity, versatile, brilliant shot on him apparently his son is much in the same mould

Is his dad Enrico? Proper ledge, top quality SWOS 96/97 pick

I assume you are referring to his final assumption and not I presume to his initial assume which was something he'd like to assume. Or is that presumptuous to assume that?

I imagine that you're right in that several players are being considered. And that's smart as one should have multiple back-ups in case a deal for the prime target fails. My hope is that we actually get our prime target (the one Pochettino wants) and not some other player further down the list. We weren't able to do the deal with Porto in 2012. If Pereira is indeed Pochettino's preferred replacement for Walker then I hope that Levy can make it happen - unlike in 2012 when he failed to deliver.

There is a world of difference between affordable and levy affordable.

Yeah dude, he was some player. 25 odd caps for Italy when there was a ridiculous level of talent in the country in his position at the time. Would have had many more but got some bad injuries in his prime. Hit some beautiful free kicks as well.
