I believe it's just made up in an attempt to keep the vultures circling LEVY TOWERS. I just noticed on sky in the in and outs of every premier league club. We are the only club in the league not to have any incoming. I know we have a great team but if you all look thru the squad we defo have not got enough strength in depth to cope with League and Champions league football that was clear for us all to see last season. With us also playing at Wembley and the out goings of players we at present are weaker than last season. A couple of injuries we would be knackered.

I know this is petulant of me, and I don't mean any harm, but if we could refrain from deliberately putting fake ITK (or pretending to allude to ITK that we know does not exist), in this thread, it would be great. Kind of undermines the purpose long term, and I'm positive it will do more harm than intended if it becomes a trend, even if only in jest.

I don't want to bring the mood down, but I was told a couple of weeks back to expect a signing by the time the tour kicked off. As this hasn't happened yet I would hazard a guess that things aren't going exactly to plan.

I'm sure we'll turn it around though (y)

would be surprised not to see Barkley join this summer.

Hugely disappointing to see the club refusing / failing to invest in a squad that is 95% there giving our competition the chance to make up ground on us. Walker replacement should have been sorted in advance of him being allowed to leave - we'll now be quoted well over the odds having sold him for £50m and Level won't pay that kind of premium. It took us years of wasted investment before we finally got 95% of a title winning squad together - without investment we will move backward compared to the teams investing £200m+ this off season.

As long as we do invest properly in the side SOON, its not all bad - but players need a pre-season with us to hit the ground running - we need to learn the lesson that a little more in transfer fees is fine, if it means we get players in early and get a solid pre-season under their belt. We perhaps need to spend £80m to stay out in front of City, Arse and United - so get it done, spend the money and let give Poch some time to work with his new signings.

Come on Spurs, this is our best squad in my lifetime - don;t waste this opportunity by not making the necessary investment this summer!

Nothing like lengthy, spammy, conjecture... I would reply at length explaining why pretty much everything you have said is wrong in my opinion, but this is the ITK discussion thread - not the: why i think Spurs are falling behind thread... (y)

I'd have to guess the signing would be Barkley. He didn't travel with Everton on their tour and seemed closest to the move.

I think from our side it's done. Any hold up is all down to Everton and sure, they could always pull the plug or Ross himself, but yeah, I do think it's all very likely.

Cheers rebrab. I suspect that player is Barkley. I bet the manager wanted him in time to fly off with the rest of the group.
