Coming in here and expecting to see any sexy transfer action these days is like trying to fit wheels to a tomato.....time consuming and completely pointless.

Self imposed ban imminent :(

I know Barkley is a talent but he does not strike me as being disciplined enough. Poch could do the deed, but there may be a possibility that we have other irons in the fire. An Everton ITK says no enquiries and no bids. We could be waiting until the last knockings or looking elsewhere.

the way I see it the better a target the harder it becomes when things are left late, don't think many teams would let go of their best towards the end it just causes too much drama for replacements etc. But hey what do we know goes on behind the scenes

Sit tight and see what happens seems the order of play this window.

Sure a bit of strength in depth required but as has already been mentioned we're not seeking wholesale changes, just one or two additions and maybe a deal for a player too good to refuse.

We're pretty damn solid for our first 11 so I never envisaged us shelling out £50-60 million in the hope of bagging an upgrade.

We need depth to the squad agreed, but the calibre of those players are not going to be what the likes of City, United and Chelsea can afford to pay their bench warmers.

I'm sure we'll snaffle a few before window closes, I'm not bothered about all the others throwing money around like whirling dervishes. They'll have to bed them in and hope they adapt, let's not forget they're spending a lot of wedge on players they hope will improve their first 11.

ITK states that we are doing business. Dele, eriksen and Sonny were immense for us last season. Lamela is due to come back, Young Edwards is coming through. Any incoming has to be someone of the same high level not some shithouse who is only at West Ham's level. There is room in the side otherwise Sissoko wouldn't have been playing as a right attacking mid last season. I think we are shopping in a very niche market to get someone of that calibre but on our wage structure. You are then asking that person to uproot their life and change everything and even possibly move to a new country. That's what's potentially taking time.
