Your ITK discussion thread for Sunday, the 23rd July.

Today we try once more to reach through the fog and see if we can get through to one or two of you.

When there's no ITK, this thread is quiet. Because there's no ITK to discuss. Anything else is spam.

Spam is bad.

When there is ITK, this thread is busier than a whore's trollies when the fleets in town.

ITK chat is good.

And because I feel some of you need extra help with comprehension, when it's daylight you get out of bed, when its dark you go to bed. When you're hungry, you eat something. For all other life assistance issues contact your local care in the community :D

No need to thank me, if I can reach at least one person, my time has not been wasted. Now, through the magic of the internet, lets see who cannot be reached :cautious:

dragon1: We are well run we do not let contracts run out ,Edwards is a problem his heads not 100% right will see what season brings but poch is all about team ethos and work ethic , either he ships up or he will be on way
Those bitching about walker , was poch decision , Walker wanted to play more and they disagreed on a couple of other things and poch was done , levy did not push the sale

That's a worry about Edwards, but it's been quite obvious that all is not 100% rosey on that front.

Never a doubt in mind that Poch was happy for Walker to leave.

I don't know why we fans are worried about Edwards. He's done nothing yet and unless he puts in the effort he never will.

Spot on. He's done nothing yet to warrant making any demands, he should knuckle down and try and break into the first team.

He SHOULD - but he's from a generation of players for whom being a youth team footballer doesn't mean what it used to.

I'm sure he goes off on England duty and there's a host of Man City / Chelsea players making £15,000 a week and never played a single game of 1st team football, all of whom have half the potential as he has.

According to some we have the "English Messi" on our hands - not difficult to put two and two together and come to the conclusion that Edwards might just think he's getting something of a raw deal.

This is conflicting news. The guy on here who supposedly has connections to Edwards family said recently that everything is fine with Edwards.

There was a post a few up from that from 'david', who used to have a lot of good info, saying 'Bad representation...'

Im so tired of the continuous speculation around this kid. If he were that good he'd be in the team already. We can't fret about someone who has not even made ONE first team appearance... Its all we've heard over the last 2-3 yrs.... his contract situation.

Step up or move on is how i feel about him now.

Is he even first choice for England U19's?

It's also interesting to note that he was mostly a late sub for the England youths. Clearly the management didn't equate him to Messi!

Shame about Edwards , but if poch gives into him it could bring a ton of trouble down the line with over youngsters

Remember he did have a bad injury which was clearly a setback. Who knows how far along he would be without the injury

Sounds like he's got a case of the billy big bollocks to me. And it sounds like we've given him a take it or leave it offer, which imo is completely the right things to do. If he doesn't want to stay, we should let him go. Like others have said, he's achieved nothing in the game, the boy needs to come back down to earth.

It's before my time, but from what my old man tells me a very similar strategy worked out really well for us with Graeme Souness...

Thing is Messi was scoring for the Barcelona first team at 17. He's a very tallented player but he's no Messi. Anyway Breezer said it was all good and knows his dad so lets see
