I think it's a wide forward who was at the Euro U21s

With that in mind my eggs are firmly in the Berradi basket. We have been interested for a while now for sure

That's what I thought, but he looks absolute shit in his Youtube compilations - surely anyone looks good in them?! One of them is 7 minutes of him passing the ball directly to the opposition, and these are highlights of his career.

For me, the pragmatic comment means it's going well, but we've been close before numerous times only to be gazumped at the last knockings to be too confident about it until it's official. Just being realistic.

I'd imagine all parties are keen but we aren't currently giving either club or player an offer they can't refuse yet.

I have a feeling this is a pretty ambitious one to be honest.
I think it can also be interpreted as we'll try for him if the opportunity arises.

Was it confirmed that it was a player from Serie A and not a player of Italian nationality? Must admit I stopped following the various 'Italian' ITK with all the blind guessing going on...
Full update as there's a lot of rubbish on this...purely on JJ, there's an Italian link, I'm pretty sure that's it (and now it isn't a right back it seems, which has lead to further assumptions over position). We've had other itk on northern Italy from another source ( I'm pretty sure was confirmed as an unknown juve player), which has lead to assumption that its the same player, but that's totally unconfirmed. That sums up the fun, there's 50,000 names, don't guess unless you want A&C to do unthinkable things to you with a cornetto.

Cant see it being keita balde as he is likely off to juve, Berardi for me would be the one, right sided winger but can play up front, strikes me as being similar to Son

I'd imagine we were all over him 2 years ago when he was shit hot, but he has not really hit the heights since. I hope it's not him personally.

I think it can also be interpreted as we'll try for him if the opportunity arises.

I'm not sure how you've reached that conclusion to be honest.

Dunno, but I just have a hunch that our scouting team do a little more research than some shoddy highlights on a YouTube compilation

I'm sure his stats are actually quite good. He was being touted as the next great thing in Italian football about 18 months ago. He's a technically gifted dribbler with a bit of zip about him; I reckon Poch could turn him into a monster

Im actually a fan of THFCSpur19s extensive list with clue hunting for helping to whittle it down. It appeals to my sense of mytery. We can easily get this list down further, just need about 8 or 9 people to tweet JJ with '"J are we looking for a (insert position on football field here e.g .left back )"

Then we can follow this up with age, ethnicity, hair type, eye colour, leg measurement and various other specifics until we whittle down to around 23 players

Interestingly, the linguistic definition of pragmatic is almost exactly the opposite of the everyday definition. Why does SC always feel like being trapped in the black hole sequence in Nolan's Interstellar?
Is it? How do people use pragmatic for in everyday life ?

I'd just like to take this moment to rule myself out. I'm not the Italian in question. I know, I was quite disappointed too. Don't mind playing right back either.

If it is Berrardi I think quite a few people will be underwhelmed. I can see him being embraced the same way Lamela was. Loved by some, hated by others. It's true he is very raw and missed most of last season with an injury. But he is a talent and different from Lamela. I don't know if he is the type of player we need, would prefer a real dribbler, but I can see why we would be looking at him (he's clever, has an eye for goal, has a strong build and clan play on the wing or up front). I have always thought he has a lot of potential given the right team and manager. It could quite easily take a year before we see anything special from him tho. But that is our transfer MO it seems, players for the future not the now.
