I listened to the Monday night club on 5 live last night and they said they've basically bought 2 fullbacks that are good going forward. For example, the French guy on there said Mendy is really good at crossing and is fast but his positioning and tactical awareness require working on. Don't get much for £50 million nowadays!

There'll be plenty of fun and games with a back 4 of Walker Stones Otamendi and Mendy. That has 'fuck up' written all over it to me.

Before everyone slates Otamendi, it's worth remembering that he was freaking awesome in Football Manager 10.

Ok; As you were.

Danilo played 80 minutes. Enjoy your time on the bench Kyle, especially since you kicked off so much about it at the end of last season.

He's going to get enough game time, those saying that he's gonna be stuck on the bench is just wishful thinking,

Didn't he play LWB because of Mendy's absence?

He will, but he'll also have to sit out a fair few games which was meant to be one of the reasons he fell out with Poch. But then if you're not happy sitting on the bench its probably that much easier when you're getting paid twice as much money to do so.

I can think of 150,000 reasons why he'd be happier doing that at Man City.

If ITK was correct and Walker had fallen out with Poch due to game time and not being able to compete twice a week then this season should be interesting to watch Kyle chewing his nails on the bench.

He's probably referencing the numerous gooner players that's have gone there and all been the poorer for it and their careers taken a nosedive.

amongst other club players! i dont see why a player with plenty of game and youth left would sign for a club to sit on the bench, its such a shame its all money now and no passion!

Yep Scott Sinclair and Jack Rodwell give us a wave! (now both at different clubs but choosing Man City at the time certainly wasn't a career decision).

Going to be an interesting game tonight. City did look good against Real the other night. Lots of pace in that squad but a very soft center. They employed a 3-5-2 I believe with Stones, Kompany & Otamendi as the backline. Kompany seems to be a good influence as they looked relatively assured. I have a feeling that this formation will be used by a lot of teams this year, particularly the top 6. City pressed Real energetically but were not necessarily organized in their efforts. They had a shedload of chances created which were mostly from transition instead of brilliant creative work. Would not be surprised to see us get done in this one. I hope we play close to our first team in the 1st half and not an out-of-position mix. Not so much to 'win' a preseason game but for prep and to prevent city fans going full fucktard with the 'we got Walker and that's why we beat you' stupidity.

Richard Wright earned a reported 1.4m at City and didn't play a single game :D

He will be earning twice the money so he won't care
