We are so desperate for pace. IDK about this kid at all but I can clearly see he has pace and acceleration in abundance. That and the fact that it looks as if he has seen a football before gets him the nod over Sissoko. Reported 10m euros sounds clever.

Maybe but this one actually seems to be very highly rated. Plays RF and CF and would give us a desperately needed pacey option for those two positions IMO.
Mate it was a joke. Karamoh was one of the most prolific teenagers in Europe last season - but I really hope he wouldn't be our only attacking signing this summer and would be one for the future.

Very productive first half of the season.

Dig around the numbers and he's basically the #2 teenager in France last year after (but obviously a long way behind) Mbappe, but exactly the type of signing we should be trying. Getting time on the pitch in a big league at 18 is scarce enough, let alone getting it and doing well.

Looks good, decent dribbling technique of keeping the ball close to him rather than knocking it into space. Will be invaluable against defences that sit back.

Here's the thing, if our head scout is an expert in French football and rates this guy, he is in our price range and not on the radar of the money clubs, why isn't this done already ? I hate to say it but it really does look like we enter each TW with absolutely no strategy whatsoever.

Strategy is identify the player. If he is valued at 5m, lets haggle and try and knock them down, then do an instalment plan.

You are even more cynical than me ! Ithink the "strategy" is one of waiting to see which players fall into our price bracket and then choose from among those. Hardly strategic. I get that we can't compete financially with 4-5 clubs but I'm not seeing any evidence of us being clever to compensate. Being clever would be buying young talents others haven't yet identified, buying players near the end of their contracts. I don't think waiting all summer for Ross Barkley qualifies as being clever.

Come on, no one knows what transfer strategies we have and how easy or difficult it is to complete a transfer, so many factors that are way more complicated than, Tottenham like this player, ok sign him. He's a young guy, maybe he wants to go to a bigger French team, maybe he fancies Spain, maybe we are against 10 other top teams, maybe the likes of Monaco, Dortmund, Benfica are sniffing around who are excellent at developing talent, etc etc etc.

In an ideal world, i'd love:

This guy
Vincent Marcel - Nice
Jadon Sancho - City

I'm sure the club are working on hard on at least one of these. Fingers crossed.

Sell on clauses are like kryptonite to Levy, and this has 'sell on clause' written all over it.
