I'm just hoping Koepka and Matsuyama finish in the top ten now for my each ways. I had a tickle on Willett each way at 250/1 but it's looking increasingly like he's fluked his major and that's his lot.

I think Willett will be back.

Not today, of course.

Just finished up there working the wireless camera all week out on the course with some of the marquee groups. Spieth deserved that, he was the best player and most consistent in varying conditions all tournament. A decent guy to boot, kind of like the Andy Murray of golf, a fairly dry and unassuming guy but very down to earth and pleasant.

Heart was pounding a few times today. £20 e/w at 60's on Kuchar. Gave me a good run and picked up £320. Would've been over £1500 but can't complain.

I was going to put £10 on Speith for the win before the tournament started, never got round to it though. Wasn't he at 14/1 or something?

Something like that. I didn't fancy Speith at all for this before the tournament!

I'm a bit gutted TBH. I was chatting with the old man on Tuesday and told him I had a gut feeling about Speith. Mind you, had I lumped on he'd probably have missed the cut!

That's why I never bet on Spurs, I'm a massive jinx when I place a bet.

I think golf is just about my favourite thing to have a flutter on, odds are always great, there's usually always a ton of value on some of the lesser obvious guys, of which one or two always make it close to paying out an E/W bet. Matsuyama is an E/W king for instance. Plus you usually get your money's worth with a bit of excitement across 4 days if you pick well

It's funny you know.
The player from across the pond that I liked the least was Zak Johnson. I think it was the terrible sunglasses and they really annoying swing finish of his.
Anyway, when he won the Open at St Andrews his winners speech completely changed my view of him. Very humble and genuinely honest in his words.
Jordan Spieth has just done the same. Really great speech. Very mature and totally aware of the magnitude of his achievement.
Well done Jordan.

US PGA starts on Thursday from Quail Hollow.

Anyone put their bets on yet? Finding it difficult to look past the Americans. Might put an EW on Matsuyama after his result at the weekend - eventhough I had him both Masters and The Open and he didn't place in either.

Rory likes Quail Hollow ...

Anyone know why it's on the Beeb, and then not until 6 pm (when it started a couple of hours ago) and on the red button?

Cos the Beeb afternoon TV is too good to be missed? Seriously though, I do think it may be a US rights thing. Even when Sky had a big (but not a major admittedly) golf event on, they didn't show live coverage til about 7pm and they have dedicated golf channels. Really annoying on Days 1 and 2 when some of the big players are on the course early.

Anyway, Spieth, Rahm, Koepka and Hoffman for me. Not the best of starts for the latter but I did manage to get 150/1 on him a week or two ago.
