All day I have been imagining Kane and Hugo spitting truth in Dannys face. So that's how I'm going to interpret Hertyids info.

Really interesting bit of ITK.

My first thought was that Harry Kane will be fuming. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Kane the ringleader when Poch first came, calling out Adebayor, Benny and Kaboul etc in the dressing room.

Plus, when Rose was on 5Live in May he singled Kane out as an example of a player who doesn't care about the money necessarily because he is so loyal to the club.

If I was Janssen and N'Koudou I'd be ready to pin the guy up against the wall, too.

Anyway, it's good to hear!

All i have in my head now is Athletico Mince's Gangs of the EPL.

'Danny rose you've made a big mistake going to the papers, we are furious to say the least'

Well if Rose has pissed some people off including Poch maybe it will at least fire us up ahead of the season opener. In a roundabout way we could use this to motivate us ahead of Sunday. Just to prove we're still driven to win things this season.

I read The Hertyid ITK that Rose was angry at the training ground, and should fire his agent, as if he didn't realise the full implications of what he said?

He means others, not just Poch, were angry at Danny.

Thought this too. Prefer the one about Kane or Dier taking him out though.

Yeah, it will take a lot to win back the trust of some teammates if the case is that those were the others that were ticked off. I for one would just cash in and send a message to the unit that if you are not bought into the ethos of the coach or the club than you are as good as gone.

To me that just sends the message 'if you fancy a move, kick off in the paper and job's a good 'un.'

Selling him would be the worst thing we could do now. I'd rather he was told he has to work hard to get back in the team, and regain the trust of the manager. He needs a reality check. He's our first choice LB but not even in the first five or six names on the team sheet.

No way Rose didn't think this through. He's very well spoken in his interviews in the past, plus it's in the same pattern as the last couple interviews.

He meant what he said.

Yeah, my gut feeling would be the players have taken offence. We hear a lot about how Poch promotes a strong team culture within the squad, and I would expect a certain amount of self policing goes on. Much as we the fans may be of a similar opinion on some points he made, I'd imagine the players, especially the senior ones, would feel let down by Rose's interview, compromising the team spirit.

So, the ITK remain in unison that our business is yet to be done, and there is not much panic. Poch could just be preaching the party line, however is it possible that Poch is aware that to buy prior to Pre-season the club has to overpay a little to compete, so the money only goes so far and he gets 2-3 players, but by agreeing to wait until the end of the window when the big guns have done their business, we don't have to overspend to compete, and the money goes that bit further to buy 3-4 players instead. Take Barkley for instance, had we paid up in July, Everton wanted £50m, but now they're talking £25-30m. Big difference to the budget, is Poch playing the long game?

Reality is, if we buy a RB, AM and WF/CF of sufficient calibre, nobody will be too concerned that it's been done in late August rather than early July.

I don't think there is any doubt that he meant what he said - but did he understand the impact that would have on the squad, and potentially himself?

hertyid: Apparently it wasn't just Poch that was angry at the training ground today. What an idiot. He should fire his agent. World Cup year, been injured 6 months during which time Davies has really developed as a player (and much younger), no guarantee he will reclaim first choice at LB. See Walker last season. Idiot.

Rose definitely made a big mistake here but he's still only 27. It's not young in footballing age but it's still young when it comes to life.

I'd love the club to give him an opportunity to put this right and hope Rose apologises publicly.

EDIT - because he's a fucking fantastic left back and the way he crushed Willian at The Bridge was a wonderful thing.

Exactly this. I can fully imagine he woke up this morning and just thought 'oh fuck'

I'm for whatever reason reassured to have confirmation people were pissed about it at the ground today. It's damaging in so many ways, not least of which pertains to transfers in that if I'm a player this window looking at Tottenham as my potential destination and an article like that drops I'm going to think twice about that move.

Man. All itk seems to be saying we will have 3 in but still don't seem near to any with 2 weeks remaining. We are seriously gonna have to get a move on. What with this rose Stuff i now haven't felt this down and pessimistic about a season starting for ages. That 2nd place finish seems so long ago now
