As much as I'd love to see some of you try and be accountants (something not even I would try and do), let's not go back and forth on the bankrupting element. Please.

This, it is truly painful to have to sift through this kind of thing, it's like everyone with a Xero account is now an accountant
Some of us actually knows how to read the annual accounts of a cooperation, and is able to make our own semi-sensical judgment. That's all I'll say about the matter. :lock:

Not sure how anyone can deny his point. Our rivals' wage bills are ~80-100% of our turnover. Of course we could spend more, but we aren't capable of matching the wages they pay across the board.

ali z: The issue is we can't without bankrupting the club, not until next season at the earliest, whilst I am not happy with our transfer dealings this summer, I think there is not much they can do, though was told any extra transfer funds will be used to bump up some salaries with new contracts after the window is shut.
Interesting. Sounds like the club has reacted to the danny rose interview by leaking this info to try and retore some calm.

Those going on about perma crock Shaw realise he's on double Rose's wages, right?

That's the thing though, he's not. He's on £70,000 a week, just £5K more than Rose. In fact if you look at the other players in his position Rose isn't paid that badly at all - Baines £70K, Alonso £70K, Fuchs £50K, Darmian £60K. Obviously City are paying over and above the going rate at £100K a week for Mendy, but there's no way we can match that.

Do we have ITK about Shaw?

Did i miss something?
No, you missed nothing. I asked this a few pages back. So anyone else wanting to chip in on Shaw, don't.

It's time now to take the Rose stuff to the Rose player threads it's had its time in here. If you want to reply to a post already made....Don't. Stop means stop. We've been fair on this.

a bit repetitive maybe
hertyid on roses 'hero' welcome:
In reality Rose got very cagey welcome, bollocked by Poch and Levy, forced to apologise privately and publicly.

Might be an idea to put your warnings in blue (like the itk). Many people just skim through the thread and might miss it.

Watching Levy bollocks someone, particularly a professional athlete, must be quite a sight. Hope Poch was the closer.

Cheers Dov

I'm sure Rose isn't bothered. He either gets a new contract here or sold and a big contract somewhere else
