Their squad is sitting on 25 players from what I heard last night. So if they do sign that wide player from Inter it's likely they will have to shift someone.

Or, and im just spitballing here, we dont make this happen, we keep the best LB in the league and we go for someone else. Strengthening the 2 Manchester sides in one window is nothing more than plain stupidity and is extremely spursy. If Martial means Rose as a makeway, we are fucking stupid if we make that deal. Especially since we clearly plan on sticking with the 3421

Do we though? Sanchez signing suggests as much but if Martial came in we would have such an adaptable squad we could easily switch between the two formations at will. More adaptable tactically.

Kane
Martial Alli Eriksen

Looks insanely good to me. With Son as impact sub! Plus this is all based on every player being fit and on form.

In 3-4-2-1 may be more difficult unless Eriksen drops into CM. Decent way to chase a game too.

Full backs are huge in the current game but I'm a lot more confident of us raising one to Rose's level, less so a player in Martial's ilk.

The reason this could be a rare swap deal that works is because it's a tough deal for both sides, big upside but at a cost. Utd fans would be screwing if we got Martial off of them for example...

We're also signing Foyth apparently. So that leaves us with 7 CB's including Wimmer and Dier. 5 if we sell Wimmer and Dier moves to DM full time.

only way a transfer involving Utd works is if we got Martial and Shaw for Rose.....think Jose would chicken out of that one even though it would probably get him the league this year

If we can do Shaw and Martial for Rose and £20 million that would work. Shaw was amazing under Poch and Martial could be amazing under Poch as well.

As much as I rate Rose, he's certainly not the missing piece for Utd that would suddenly transform them into League winners.

When Jose is saying he wants a lwb to complete his squad...then he's pretty important.
That's still a squad that's not going to win the league though... not saying they don't badly need one (a LWB - and Danny obviously fits the bill), but for me, they're a few upgrades away from being title contenders.

Case in point - Felanni's about to come on.

I don't think it's far off, Their line up is incredibly balanced compared to others.

Looks like we'd rather push for Sessegnon over Shaw, but I agree in principal.

Rumours Utd are moving in on Lemar now, could help this further!

They're not far off... but neither or we, or Chelsea, or Man City, or Liverpool - Arsenal - Arsenal are fucking miles away.

Man Utd can only win the league if IF - Pogba finds the form everyone in the media assumes he will this season.

Lukakau has a 25+ season (where's the goals coming from throughout the rest of the side)

They actually sign a LB if they don't get Danny Rose.

Phil Jones has the season of his life

Mata has the season of his life

They avoid injuries to their starting 11

Chelsea, Man City and us, shit the bed.

For me, that's not far off, but still quite a distance.

It's weird what clubs do to players, Martial at Monaco impressed me probably more than Lemar did last season. I thought United at the time had got a world class winger and yet under Mourinho has been frustrated.

And now we are talking about United selling Martial to bring in another Monaco winger, there is no guarantee the same won't happen to Lemar.

What I am saying is that I think Poch will do wonders with either Martial or Lemar but Jose could screw both of them over.

Another goal for him today, his price is only rising if it's true we're in for him. Looked class in both sub appearances he's made this season.
