They're not far off... but neither or we, or Chelsea, or Man City, or Liverpool - Arsenal - Arsenal are fucking miles away.

Man Utd can only win the league if IF - Pogba finds the form everyone in the media assumes he will this season.

Lukakau has a 25+ season (where's the goals coming from throughout the rest of the side)

They actually sign a LB if they don't get Danny Rose.

Phil Jones has the season of his life

Mata has the season of his life

They avoid injuries to their starting 11

Chelsea, Man City and us, shit the bed.

For me, that's not far off, but still quite a distance.

It's a fair point, in fact I'd say us not doing a deal and Martial going to Chelsea, Liverpool or Arsenal would probably make our life harder than us.

Utd will be a threat with or without Rose for sure, but most of your above points still apply regardless.

They are probably the most balanced squad after us and Chelsea (assuming they restock), City are very lop sided towards attacking.

There is no way Mourinho is going to sacrifice Martial for Rose, if he does he is an idiot,
Better have a back up for that pacey forward position cos it's not Martial.

Martial with another Goal. Becoming too important for them
He scored the 4th goal against a championship standard club. I mean I doubt we will get him and would love it if we did but he's hardly important to them

I don't think it was ever realistic so nothing has changed. Good chance Rashford will be dropped for Martial in the next game considering the impact he has had today and last week. Find it hard to fathom he will be leaving.

The goal probably changes things.

It's like when my son goes to his cousins and picks up a toy with dust on it and he snatches it back off of him to play with it all day!

Nothing has changed. They were never going to sell him to us and they still won't. The ITK haven't even made it clear it was Martial.
It has been made pretty clear by looking at Hercules' posts in this thread.

I agree that I struggle to see them selling to us though, but I thought that before he scored a goal against a terrible Swansea team.

Swansea haven't looked terribleand regardless two goals and an assist in about 20 mins of football shouldn't be understated.

Unfortunately for England (and us) martial is in another class compared to rashford. Can only hope mourinho and Woodward are the only 2 who don't see it...

only way a transfer involving Utd works is if we got Martial and Shaw for Rose.....think Jose would chicken out of that one even though it would probably get him the league this year

Jose only ever thinks short term success. He'd sell us his wife if it got him the title this year.
