Martial has been very good in his last two sub performances, I don't see why Utd would sell, especially to a PL team.

Hercules did say don't focus too much on Martial. Must be someone else.
Moving forward with a couple of targets on a tight budget near the end of the window but keeping an eye on Martial to see how ManU's buys and his relationship with management develops over the remainder of this window is not a terrible strategy. Hercules comment to me meant more "don't obsess over him. If it can work out we will work it out, but we have options"

This is my opinion to that and nothing else. They want another player (wide) to satisfy Jose, player profile could go in a price-range which will put them under pressure to sell Martial. As you can only fit so many players in final third. In the agent world Martial has quietly confidentially offered to specific clubs by his agents, with Yanited's knowledge.

Whatever is happening off the bench with him, I believe (opinion) if someone (Top 4) offered say 60m plus, they certainly would very seriously consider it.

Hence the "don't pay too attention to Martial" post. It's more about paying attention to whom Man U sign. Until they bring in that other wide attacker Martial stays.

Cheers Herc. I think the ITK accidentally gave the impression that 'the race was on' (we here always assume it is anyways and hence panic at every detour) when reality it's more of a 'if we want him, and feel we can afford him and get him, we have to be quick when the moment is right'.

So assuming it's now: Sanchez, Gazzinga, Foyth, Barkley and going with ITK 1 more, I wonder if the other is Diop. Would be good window if can get all of them but think everyone agrees we need a pacey AM, can't see martial happening and diop is a CM so if this is the case looks like we'll give sissoko and n'koudu another season. I think adding Barkley that'll give us a lot of options going forward but agree with most that a pacey AM would be key so hoping the final signing would not be diop and would be a mystery pacey AM but really can't see it being Martial. Zaha?

I'd pay that for him. He's def a game changer
If Sanchez was 40m, Martial is a bargain at that price

I think it's: we've been given indication from the agent and Man U that they would play ball IF they get the wide attacking player in that they want.

I think Diop and Foyth are counted as youngsters and not part of those 4 signings Poch mentions. I don't think we'll be signing Diop though

Zaha is injured, so it's unlikely we'd go for 2 injured players & I certainly wouldn't consider him a game changer.

Forget Zaha. We've already pissed him off with a silly wage offer. That's why he signed a new deal at Palace.

Thanks for the info.

I don't see us paying 60 mill though. We're not shopping at those prices.
