I like the way poch digs at rose in the last sentance of the pre match conference at newcastle.

He says he thinks hes very well paid for his position at spurs and that hes happy.

Obviously he could double or treble his wages elswhere too

I would actually kill to win any kind of cup, but whatever I fucking love Poch and hope he's our manager for the rest of time.

That's the sound of a man confident of making some kick-ass signings in the next few days.

Itk must be bang on.

Don't aim low then poch, yet another bill nic quote. He's building a dynasty here, most important thing is he stays for next 5-10 years, the way the game is these days I'd certainly take 5 more under him but if we can get longer then great, I think if he stays for 5 more years and levy keeps backing him like the ITK's are suggesting he's getting backed this summer then I have no doubts we will win some trophys and be challenging right at the very top of PL and CL during those years. I honk he can turn us into an athletico, sleeping giant.

You'd have thought right, balls on the table with these kind of remarks.
If ITKS are spot on as we think the sky is the limit. But most importantly it will show he's genuinely been listens to and backed which would make even more sense why he looked so pissed at roses comments for the timing more than anything.

I think fans forget or don't realise (myself included!!) that Poch has been an incredibly experienced international player, who has personally known some of the very biggest names in footballing history:

https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...o-pochettino-tottenham-hotspur-diego-maradona

The guy knows what a winner looks like and all the baggage that comes with genius, as well as what it takes to form a winning team.

And he certainly won't be out of his depth when it comes to our own players and their nonsense; if you can share a room with a cocaine snorting, gun wielding Maradona, a Danny Rose interview isn't going to intimidate you!!

In all my years as a Spurs fan, I've never known a Spurs manager to make a public statement like that

Shows how far we've come!
Back to the redknapp days, when we fucked up our 'title challenge' and came 4th..." spurs fans don't know how good they've got it with 4th' ...

Poch is magic though...

If we lose at Stamford Bridge later this season then Poch's head to head with Conte will read 4-1. Could start to look like he owns him, especially as we've pretty much dominated them possession wise in all four of the matches so far.

Head to head with Conte, Poch has manly locks and Conte is a syrup toting little ponce.

But that is kind of contes game plan isn't it in which he is saying if we bank up against you then you don't have the players with the pace and ability to go beyond.
So yes at the moment they are sort of owning us a bit and I was surprised that with so many missing for Chelsea, that we was unable to get a result.

I'm not surprised at all that we didn't beat them. It showed that Conte is a superior coach than Poch Ettinger. Even with a much depleted squad he's still able to get his tactics spot on to beat us. Poch is still too naive and inexperienced to win big or important games when it's required and it showed again how he couldn't see or deal with the typical Chelsea approach of stifling opposition and them hitting them on the counter. Poch should have setup to play with more width and not with such a crowded central midfield. This just played into Conte's game plan even more and with the clinical side that Chelsea are they got their goals with hardly any possession compared to us. You only need to watch the last 10 times we've played them to work out that's how they approach almost every game against us. So why didn't we have another game plan against them? Cos Poch isn't a good enough manager yet.. Sorry to say it but that's the simple truth. We could have put Son on and created more width, we didn't need both Wanyama and Dier under the circumstances but again it took him far too long to make a change, and when he did he perhaps took off the wrong player, even though Dier wasn't great either.. If Lamela doesn't come back we'll be seriously lacking width this season. And not getting another wide forward player will cost us, especially against defensive opponents who will set up to stifle is like Chelsea did.

What I don't get is why Poch thinks that the same game plan against Chelsea will somehow work after so many previous games of failure with that game plan..

It doesn't and it won't.

Is time to change the tactics up based on the opposition, not expect the same plan and tactics to somehow magically work on this occasion. We become to predictable and that's what Conte knew we would do.
