So any player who breaches discipline is sold? Completely unworkable and unrealistic.

It depends on the breach....Swearing at the Governer, no, but bringing the club into disrepute, mutiny in the changing room. You have to draw the line somewhere just like in any other environment.

No doubt Sessegnon has great potential but I can't help feeling Fulham hold all the cards here. You player, not pressing for a move, signed a new deal and they know we've just payed out potentially £40m for a raw centre back...

Can't see what all the fuss is with this fella, people making out he's the messiah and at the price it would likely take together him I'd rather someone to make an immediate impact not one for the future!

I would prefer that option, but can't see him competing with any of our attackers just yet. He may do a dele alli but that's asking a lot. Would love to see poch work with him
But for a young player it is easier and far less pressure for them to perform further up the pitch, mistakes are not as costly and as obvious. It is easier for a fast attacking player to enter the game and settle and make a noticeable difference as opposed to a fb sub! I really do think he wil be bought with little or no intention for him as a LB but as a player who is very similar to a young Gareth Bale who started as FB in youth set up due to the extra space in front of him as he would run from deeper and therefore his pace was more noticeable. GB found it exceptionally hard initially to settle and make an impact as a LB and the mistakes he made were highlighted.

A raw centre back that has won the Copa Libertadores and made the Europa League final, player of the year at Ajax who has had Europe's elite kicking his tyres. Not a fair comparison.

He doesn't remind me of a young bale coach but that's your view, no doubt he'll end up further up the pitch, It's hard to say what we plan to do with him While rose and Davies are still here. If they both stay and we sign him I do think he be used in attack.

The dream scenario would be getting in Sessegnon and having him as a rotation option / understudy to Rose his season. This lad is going to be special, so if we can do a deal for him it would be huge IMO.

Yes... but you a looking at it from as Spurs point of view... if you were Fulham you would be (and they probably are) going to quote stupid figures for RS given he is 16 and will benchmark against other signings.

There's some discussion in the ITK thread about a Graham Roberts interview on Talksport...

This is all of what he said - sounds like it's come from inside the club but pinch of salt I'd imagine etc

"There will be a minimum of three coming in this week. I have some good contacts at the club."
"There is one player from the Championship, that is gonna come. I am 99 percent sure that is gonna happen.
"There is a midfield player they have spoken to. They have all agreed to come."
"It is just about sorting out the figures for the clubs now."
"We got some money from players moving to other clubs the other day, not just Gylfi Sigurdsson but Paulinho as well

Haven't we been linked to a goalkeeper at Bolton as well? Are there any other players from the championship that we've been looking at?

I'd like to know our expected goals ratio when Walker and Rose have played together versus when both of them are not there.

I appreciate that, but to be honest the mooted £25m IS already a crazy fee. More than half of what Davinson Sanchez and Gylfi went for, and half of what Walker went for is a good offer especially to a championship club, regardless of who is interested...

Not comfortable with Davies being first choice, even less comfortable with a 17 year old being 2nd choice. I know he's a dick but the way Rose is being undervalued is ridiculous. One of the best left backs in the world and the difference in quality from him to Davies is very big (I don't mind Davies as back up). We've already lost Walker, lose Rose too and not replace and you can write off any title aspirations.

I don't believe Rose not playing would mean we'd be writing off our aspirations, given we won practically every game that he didn't play last season and we have a better win percentage with Davies in the team, but I do agree that Rose and Walker were the best FB pairing in the league and that anything else will be a downgrade.

Crazy but a contradiction ....... Mad ain't it ?
