When our manager nearly states that he's expecting gazzaniga + another 4, and an ITK who our lovely mods clearly are happy with (or else he would not post so freely in this thread with his news) such as @Hercules has been repeating that pretty consistently (unless I've misunderstood), I think we should all just breathe easy and trust that good things will happen.

Usually our manager gives very non commital, party line type answers, if Donna is letting him say that, fully knowing how bad it would look for it to not come to some level of fruition, then I say we trust the Demi-god, give or receive some cunnilingual pleasure, and chill the fuck out. I full expect at least a three new signings, though that's just one idiot's opinion of course.

Depressing if we sold Walker without demanding Sancho due to it holding up the deal. So City didn't like that? Well then they don't get the best RB in the league. Shameful to lose out on one of the best talents in the world due to it being an inconvinience to City.

Or city were demanding too much for sancho in the deal and we thought fuck it we'll get him for a lot less in a tribunal.

I get that we're meant to take all ITK with a pinch of salt, but when all the top guys are saying the same thing it seems a bit strange to start thinking that we're not going to sign more players that we're happy with.

So risk waiting a year? Also we could just have said to them well no Walker to them then? Surely our hand was much stronger than theirs?

At that point he looked to be keen on heading to Arsenal too. Sancho to us may not have been entirely on the table then as it is now.

Not like he's going to slot straight into our first team.
Risk £50m for a player poch wanted gone? Doubt it.

Pretty sure he said 3 more not 4. I remain worried that we are too relaxed about bringing in a LWF. Aurier will be the most important signing of the summer if we finally manage to pull it off though. We need to put all our efforts into that one.

Been in and out of this forum more times than a fiddler's elbow. Looking forward to a quick beach trip tomorrow to have a break from this madness. However, just one more hit of itk would really help

Sancho has spoken to poch, he was keen to come, 3m not enough, city could easily get that fee if it went to tribunal, he is a star in the making. Just hope he doesn't end up down the road!

How frustrating! I'm not surprised £3m wasn't enough - didn't we pay twice that for 17 year old Gareth Bale, long before the current hike in transfer fees? It's almost nothing in terms of today's money... Will be gutted if we lose out on a rea prospect like Sancho because of penny pinching in this way. I know we haven't got City / Chelsea / Utd scale money, but surely investing a bit more in this lad now would pay off later...?

PS Thanks Gards for the info - not your fault it's frustrating.

Surprising we would go so far with a number city were always going to reject... just seems, well, stupid?

Don't know about easily get more from the tribunal.
Nobody has bid for him so they will go by what he has achieved.
He is not a full international, the highest level internationally is u20.
He has not started or been used as a sub for city. He has only been there 2 years and only has one year left on his contract which is not a professional one. He is 17.

This will all determine his fee. Not how good people think he will be. That's not how the tribunals work.

Surely we're not stalling because of that? We paid 2m for Coulibaly! I would find that incredible.
