Absolute pisser if Liverpool get Keita, I think he's a team changer and exactly what we need more than anything else, even if we integrate the likes of Onomah and Winks. And in today's market 50-60m would be a par.
I find it hard to believe that you think any player from outside the academy would improve the squad...Absolute pisser if Liverpool get Keita, I think he's a team changer and exactly what we need more than anything else, even if we integrate the likes of Onomah and Winks. agree with you but also showing patience which some (stress some) of our fans are not showing...specifically pointing to the Keita deal being for next summer....some of our lot are getting outraged that we haven't signed players earlier in this window.
can't believe this is oxlade-chamberlain's 7th season at arsenal, feels like he's basically done nothing in that time and no one even knows what he is or what he's supposed to be good at anymore .. and yet he still goes for 35m, incredible.
have thought Poch would turn him into a brilliant wing back....watch Conte do the same nowThere's definitely a player in there somewhere. I wouldn't be surprised to see him realise that potential now he's away from the toxic atmosphere at Arsenal.
It's also what Ross wants. If he won't sign a contract with Chelsea and we know it that would pretty much destroy Evertons bargaining position. I think what Chelsea paid for Ox has nothing to do with our negotiations for Barkley. Apples and oranges really.I think its a net-positive for us.
Everton can claim whatever they want - but it comes down to who is willing to pay, and how much. If this takes up some of Chelsea's budget, and roster space - and takes them out of the bidding, it will drive Barkley's price down, not up.
Chelsea need depth at Wingback - I imagine Ox will compete very favorably with Moses for playing time - if not the league, then certainly CL.Strange move for Ox though, going from one bench to potentially another. Is he really gonna be starting every game for them? I do wonder.
Liverpool doing what I think everyone at Spurs including our players want to see us doing though and that's making some statement signings.

Apparently 40m. Bad news for us regarding Barkley. Everton will say AOC only had a year on his deal too...
I think the players sense a sinking ship - the rats are all abandoning as quickly as they can. That's what surprises me though. Not on Chelsea's part but on his. I'm sure he'll get some playing time but I thought after being used in just rotation at Arsenal for so long he'd want to go somewhere where he's in favour of playing every week.

Chelsea will probably put AOC on a £250k per week.
That's on Wenger. It's no accident that Arsenal have failed to develop Walcot, Wilshere, Ox, Bellerin and countless others over the past decade or so. Selling Chelsea Ox was mind numbingly stupid. Wenger has completely lost the plot.Yup. The oligarch's magic money tree overpaying mediocrity.
Oxlade-Chamberlain is no better than when he made his debut for the goons. There may be a player in there, but he's done nothing to prove he's worth £35 million in the last year of his contract.
Chelsea agree fee for Oxlade-Chamberlain according to Sky.
Apparently Domestic will receive a slight bumpSky have said they will probably not bid for as many packages next year. The foreign rights will go up but not sure domestic will.
Scudamore has to make people think they will as it is blind bidding. He has to hype it to make the bids higher.
I for one am not sure they will be.
