Agreed, decent numbers for his age (22). He would definitely thrive under Poch and the quality that we have.

16/17 - 43 Total apps - 11 Goals - 4 assists.

15 premiership appearances against Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd and Man City. 0 goals. Flat track bully.

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

Honestly, i really don't watch enough football to have a definitive answer on how good or not he is, but he has a couple of pretty average seasons, and when i have seen him he has not looked very good at all. I don't think it is a coincidence that Liverpool have upgraded in those positions and are looking to offload him.

I have been wrong before, Wanyama being one of them, but going from Game Changer to, on face value a Liverpool cast off is not where i think we should be, even with the limitations we have.

If he moves, he would want a reasonable amount of game time with it being a WC year. Not convinced he would get that at us. Would be second fiddle to Kane in the striker rold and I'm not too sure just how good he is in a wider position. Got pace and power yes but doesn't seem to be in that penetrative mould of a Mane, Hazard, Martial etc. Wouldn't be surprised if he is being looked at as a fall back option if we can't get our preferred target in.

Saying that, I'd take him over Janssen.

This guy is NOT the calibre of player we should be looking to sign to take us to the next level.

I cannot get excited about this, he will not give us another dimension to our play. just dont see the point in this.

Feeding of Liverpools scraps. No thanks.

Rumours from the Liverpool side are that he's been offered to Monaco as a sweetener in the Lemar deal. Can't see him coming to us either way.

Ignoring whether he's good or not, why would Liverpool strengthen an area we need strengthening in? We're a rival of theirs, it would be like us sending them a player to strengthen their defensive options. Secondly if he's leaving them to solidify his spot in World Cup squad why would he risk coming here when we have Kane, Dele, Eriksen and Son ahead of him?

It wouldn't make sense as a move for him or a decision of sale by Liverpool. I can't envisage this happening at all.

If we wanted to sign this kind of player (young, fast, strong, skilful forward with PL experience) it would have been smarter had we pushed harder for Iheanacho to be included in the Walker deal.

Well.. we're not going after the players that can take us forward, and there are only three days left in the window. Thanks to Levy's shennanigans, we're now in a place where players like him are the only realistic targets left.

For me, he'd be an upgrade to Jansen. So for that reason (and only that reason), I'd say "yes"...

Has anyone actually watched this useless piece of shut play? If we want to have strikers that have a shit goals ratio we can always play Janssen or re-sign Soldado...
Fuck me the ambition has been drained out of all of you.

He is not a great goal scorer so far in his career. However, he has skills that we could use, he can stretch a defense with pace, decent hold up play, still very young and can develop, can play with Kane at times too as he offers a different skill set especially running behind a defense. The problem with Janssen is that cannot play with Kane. Plus many Belgium players at our club so will fit in well.

A striker clearly not good enough to be a backup to a club who consistently finish below us yet people on here are actually advocating his signing...... Some of you lot need to give your heads a wobble. This is what desperation does to you.....

No he ain't a great goal scorer that's correct he even struggled in bloody France a place where our useless N'Jie and N'Koudou fucking excelled.
If this signing happens it's just as bad as the Saha, Nelsen last day.

Yeah but Liverpool have much more attacking talent in comparison to ourselves.

Difference being Salah went abroad and proved himself, he got better, Origi is still unknown to a degree, for me it would be a similar signing to N'jie or GKN.
