Sure earlier in the summer people were saying he had a release clause around the 20m mark. Nothing about that now though in the media

This is exactly how I feel. The boys electric. I think he'll be a great signing. My only reservation is that he hasn't got many games for Leicester.

It really is inexplicable that he's been unable to break into a shite Leicester team.

Unless you've actually seem him play of course.

No, my reasoning concludes that if our management identify the necessary potential in a player, we should shut the fuck up and trust them!
That's not what you wrote.

Not to mention our scouting, recruitment, and decision making in this process has proven to be far from infallible.

So even if that was the point you stated (it wasn't) you'd still be wrong.

Admittedly I don't watch Leicester much, but he's mostly looked exciting when I've seen. A real bums off seats kind of player

Demarai Gray, 2016/17 Season, Age 20.

- EPL Appearances: 9 starts, 21 substitutions, 1,039 minutes (11.54 games equiv.) 1 goal, 3 assists.
- UEFA CL Appearances: 1 start, 4 substitutions, 155 minutes (1.72 games equiv.) 0 goals, 0 assists

2017/18 Season, Age 21:

- EPL Appearances: 3 substitutions, 34 minutes. 0 goals, 0 assists.

People saying "45 games"...not really a great benchmark for this player. If the team rates him, at his age and pace I struggle to argue. It comes down to price for me.

So in the 2015-16 season I watched quite a few Leicester games in the latter half of the season, because their results obviously impacted on ours

At the time I thought he looked quite good (pacy with skills), although I didn't watch any of him last season

At 21 he's still got lots of potential. Playing regular football in a settled Spurs team would do wonders for him, I would think

Definitely worth a punt if the price is right

Poch himself said we need players to challenge the existing first 11 for their places.

If our answer to that is Gray then something's gone seriously wrong somewhere.

I don't care whether it's £30m or £10m. He's not good enough.

There may be a release clause for a Champions League club, and that's why we may be able to get him for less than Palace/Bournemouth.

Odd signing mind you.

FWIW, I personally rate DG highly. Kind of player who will excel very quickly under Poch. Please note, it was a back-up if we never got Zaha, at the end of the season. Why we never went in then would be disclosing too much.

You need to also understand, we do not have the liquid resources to go in early on the whole. We have to wait for prices to drop, and other bidders drop out, or look elsewhere. I got one have been converted, and DL was right. I can hear the BSoDL brigade-itisdeafening.com

Next season we will move early on prime targets. So stop the moaning and get on board the train.

NOTE
Not a done deal, but highly likely!

Awsome info Herc. "I got one have been converted" what does that mean lol?

And not sure why people writing off DG, he's exactly the type of player we need and as you say he's someone who will likely flourish under Poch. Not sure what people said when we signed £5milliom Dele Ali from MK Dons but imagine it was even more negative that this and look how he turned out. I for one really hope we can get this over the line, I think he'd be a much better option than Sissoko off the bench, he has pace and talent and will only improve. Much better than GKN in my opinion, he's also been part of a team who won the league and has 3years of PL experience and some CL experience. Hope we can get over the line and looks very much like a Poch signing to me if so.
