12 hours to go and so far the only players we look like signing today are Llorente and Aurier.

Very happy with both and the ITK alluding to them, but hoping we hear about some progress on another couple soon.

Barkleys people still expecting him to move to us today.

No idea what the clubs stance currently is though.

I don't know if anyone else caught this, but Sky Sports is saying that Levy made sure that part of the deal that has been agreed between Spurs and Paris Saint-Germain for Serge Aurier includes an exclusivity clause, meaning the Parisians couldn't talk to Chelsea when the Blues made a move for the Ivorian right-back. (According to L’Equipe)

What a baller.

Also, if this is too off topic, let me know and I'll move it to the player thread.

Just looking at the ITK ticker. Saw the possible targets list from last night, Llorente not mentioned at all as target. Then the next post. BBC say Llorente Done:) just shows you anything can happen on transfer deadline day. If something happens you will hear about it on BBC or SSN first. Especially SSN they have guys at every ground and contacts in every club looking for any small scrap of info. I know we poo poo SSN on here but let's face it they do usually have the right info. Doesn't mean the deals always come off but that is just football transfers and the players agents. Look at the Willian deal and Chelski!
Llorente isn't done according to the BBC, just bid accepted. Chelsea are still expected to make another bid themselves.

I'm in a small town in Turkey at the moment. Last time I was here over deadline day, had no internet, TV or smartphones so the next morning I walked 3 miles in 35c heat down to the local internet cafe to find out Spurs had signed Van der Vaart :D

Even though the internet cafe's long gone and I've got WiFi now I might take the same walk in the morning for good luck and hope to see we've signed another superstar from Madrid...

IMO Barkley will come down to the wire and be a 10pm type signing. Once Everton realise they need to sell him and realise he wants us and that's their only option then it will get done quickly.

Not sure I get this ...

So Levy demanded a clause in paper before even beginning talks with PSG ? Otherwise it doesn't make sense that he demanded a clause in the actual deal when it's done, that Chelsea couldn't approach, because you know, the deal would already be done so it would be moot !

If that's the case, and he demanded the clause before beginning talks, then that's amazing. It appears that we have been screwing with Chelsea quite badly this window. Love it !

Got a feeling Barkley's about to be disappointed. Hard to blame Levy if Everton are still insisting on 35m fee which although is what LFC paid for Chamberlain cannot be used as a yardstick when Barkley is injured for at least another 2 months.

Thanks mate, really hope this gets wrapped up this window and get our medical staff to get him back on his feet for the 2nd half of the season.

I'm guessing it goes back to when they started negotiations, knowing someone like Chelsea might jump on the back of Spurs doing all the work in getting SA a work permit/any legal help with his appeal.

We must have incredibly tight lips if the pacy forward we already have done, hasn't even been named yet, with less than 10 hours left.

Maybe the door was still open while we waiting on his work permit/visa/sentence...

Levy just wedging it shut while we waited...

If it transpires there is truth in this I wonder if he's done the same with Llorente. Would be quite the gamechanger in terms of long term rivalry. Love it.

Think about it from Swansea's perspective. They owe Spurs £5m for Sig. If they want £15m cash now for Llorente they could accept £10m from us and call it even or, £20m from Chelsea to then feed us the £5m cash. Only works if they are wanting cash in the bank now which I know doesn't happen much these days. I would think Llorente may see us as having more opportunities to play

Oh man why do I have to be doing a 12 hour shift 11-11 on deadline day... probably going to get sacked today but if we sign someone good its worth it.
