Tottenham still keen on £30m deal for Barkley

Ian Ladyman:
Tottenham have not yet extinguished their interest in Ross Barkley and are willing to do a deal with Everton for about £30m.

Interestingly, it has not been Mauricio Pochettino who has been driving the club’s interest but his number two Jesus Perez.
£30m seems a fair deal to me. Worth £50m in normal circumstances but in last year of contract and injured.

I would be happy paying £30m and i think Everton would accept that.

Do it Levy.

If Everton aren't taking £30m I'll let DL off the hook. Can't believe they're not taking that, if true.

All I want is him and Aurier. It's not too much to ask is it?

So why not sell him and save the club millions of pounds which was my original point.
Would signing a new contract mean he wanted to be there.
He clearly doesn't feel that being there is helping him get to the World Cup anyway and the manager doesn't seem to be fussed with him so what's to be gained.
It's a war of attrition, Everton are pressuring him so unless he buckles I can't see the logic.
Personally I've never committed myself to an employer who tried bully me and I most certainly would never have put them in a position of power over me, especially when they are not giving me what I want.
I only give that power to the wife by the way.
I agree.

225 pages and still no deal, get him bought. Aurier, Llorente and Barkley would be tidy.
Yet only one of those improves the first team, and thats only because we sold a very good player to a rival. I would call that a mediocre window at best TBH

If they aren't taking what we want, leave it until January. He won't be match fit until then anyway if reports are to be believed.

If Barkley goes to Arsenal he hasn't been paying attention. The Ox, Walcott and every other young British player at the club has seriously failed to progress under Wenger. I believe the ITK that he wants Poch because he feels he'll improve his game.
