Gutted about Barkley. Jan is a long way away and have no confidence he'll come then. Harsh leaving him as an outcast at Everton. Serving a few weeks notice at work is painful let alone a few months. Wish we'd rewarded his eagerness to join.

You weren't partial to the conversation.

Chelseas (The Champions) business looks like this
  1. A back up goal keeper
  2. A better replacement for their back up defender
  3. A replacement for their starting mid (who they were happy to sell)
  4. A replacement for their starting striker (who they were happy to sell).

In turn we buy the following (as Runners Up);
  1. A back up keeper
  2. A better replacement for our backup defender
  3. A replacement for our starting RB (who we didn't want to sell)
  4. A back up striker

Chelsea are a suddenly a laughing stock, our window is a success. Football is weird. IMO the clubs chasing should be showing greater ambition.

Chelsea had a meh transfer window, but their depth is miles beyond ours. As we saw in the cup last year.

If Foyth is back up defender where's Sanchez?

I see the BSODL are out in force.

We've signed three defenders, and a veteran striker. We were told time and time again that Poch was after a pacy attacker. Well it looks like Levy has failed to deliver the two players he really wanted, no game changer, and no pace.

The players we did sign will be fine additions, don't get me wrong. But we are still missing that spark to change games off the bench, something that the last two games have showed we are desperately lacking.

So it looks like our plan b for games will remain to be Sissoko. How many of you people criticising those that are unhappy with our window can honestly say they are happy with him being our "game changer?"

The Sanchez and Foyth signings all but confirm we're going to play 3-4-2-1 more than 4-2-3-1 this season. This means we only need 6 forwards to have two for each position. We now have 5 Poch trusts there and then 4 others who can play there is needed.

You guys always get too excited by end of window ITK. It's likely we were trying and the club were excited but they're always long shots. You then convince yourselves that we're going to sign them and then get depressed when we don't. It happens every time and you still don't learn.

The time we struggled the most last season was when toby was injured.
I think we struggled in Europe, I also think we struggle to produce creativity and have very little in the way of explosive intent up front.
We needed a mane/salah/hazard type of player imo. Now they are hard to come by sure but I feel that is what was needed. I guess as long we do not ship goals we will still be v hard to beat.

Aurier is much better for our system than trips imo so fingers crossed for the year.

Barkley in Jan maybe he can develop into what I think we need.
