Why on earth is Barkley taking stick from pundits, journos and fans alike?? The lad has made a decision based on what he feels is best for his career, despite being pushed by others to go where they wanted him to go. He's turned down more money and a club that doesn't scream 'stability' for a coach who really wants him and really wants to help him become a top class player. That's not to be criticised, that's to be admired.

Because if everyone started acting intelligently and not greedily, society would collapse. And by society I mean this wretched, rancid swamp we're forced to inhabit, where bloated toads devour all before them and the cockroaches twitch in ecstatic admiration.

And you Can't. Have. That.

Reports are coming out about what really happened with Ross Barkley last night...apparently Wayne Rooney drove him down to London and got slightly confused and ended up at Chelsea. Hope he doesn't take a lift off come January!!

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

If we are in for him in Jan, really hope we do it early and Everton dont mess around either.

Dont think the lad should be left to stew all of january.

just checked the Everton forum, someone is still a little salty:LOL::LOL::LOL:

Look, Spurs and Barkley have this all stitched up. We have been royally screwed. Now it's just about retaliation. Ross must be kept until the end of the season, no training, nothing, his world cup has gone. Second we must screw up Spurs, slowly, over time by disrupting their playing staff and undermining any of their efforts to sign a player. Let it be known that we are going to have a go back, and make sure we kick the crap out of them on the pitch by putting out the biggest kids we have, they can have the 3 points and we'll take 6 red cards and several kneecaps.....They are pretty smug at the moment, it's time this twice title winning team was put back in its place......

I know you're joking but I hope we reward RB's desire to play for us with a realistic bid on the 1st January.

The quicker he is with us the better it is for both parties.

Wishful thinking, do you know who our chairman is?

Levy will be quite happy for this to go to next summer when his contract runs out.

@RBarkley20 Contrary to a number of reports in the press, I did not undertake a medical with any club at any point.
@RBarkley20 I simply decided that due to my injury, it would be best to make a decision on my future and assess all my options in January when fully fit

Someone telling porkies then because Everton's owner said quite the opposite:

Mashiri told Sky Sports: "Well the two clubs agreed a deal of £35m.

"Personal terms were agreed, but after the medical we heard from Paul Martin, Ross Barkley’s agent, that he changed his mind.

"And he wanted to reconsider his position during the January window.

Haha. I actually think that is quite smart. Are Chelsea really gunna come out and deny that claim? They will be quite embarrassed to have been rejected so that's unlikely. Everton may come out and state otherwise but people may think it's just a ploy to show Everton really tried to move him on and weren't prepared to lose him for nothing. Leaves everything open to speculation.

In all honesty, I wouldn't be suprised if the story was embellished a little with the medical stuff. Everton clearly hate him from the way Koeman speaks and the chairman the other night. Desperate to throw him under the bus at any opportunity to make them look better. Plus it's a dramatic story for sky at a time when they were struggling for news. Then consider Jim whites links to Everton. I may be wrong, but I'd be shocked if it was as dramatic as made out.

Any club with a bit of class doesn't have the owner coming on TV for an interview with minutes remaining of a transfer window. Everton look two bob with that twat spouting bollox to Jim White.. Can't imagine Levy, Woodward or Gazidas doing such an interview. I would expect this behaviour from the Dildo Brothers down at the council owned stadium though.

Not sure what Everton's problem with us is? Only thing I can think of is we got Sissoko but there didn't seem anything untoward there (if anything they acted unprofessional at time!).

Owner seems a bit of a bobber mind, shame as always quite liked them.

And how come Hercules post is in bright blue, is it because he's ITK and to make it stand out more? It's very pretty.

its a new feature. Read the transfer suggestions thread.

Re Barkley wouldn't it be quite difficult to have a medical anyway with his injury? And is it outside the realms of possibility that he went to an independent centre for a generic assessment which could count as a medical. As in, in theory he didn't go to chelsea for a medical?
