No. I'm done explaining my opinion. Clearly I'm not allowed to have a different opinion if I don't conform to the norm around here.

You are allowed to have a different opinion. You know full well you are. You should also know that others are entitled to disagree with it and even ridicule it. There's no need to act like a victim.

Not acting like a victim. People don't agree with me that's fine. That's what a forum is for.

I think it's ridiculous that 3 or 4 people have taken my first comment about him enjoying his money too seriously and have gone on from there to protect their own opinion. That's all.

Have a nice day muppets.

And there you go. You say it's fine that people don't agree with you, then sign off with an insult. You know full well why you're attracting "hate" as you put it. You're now just trolling.

@spurs mental living up to his name a touch...

Joking mate, I like your posts generally and actually sympathise with your Lamela opinion too. Mine is less ruthless but I also think it will be hard for the guy to reemerge. I know @talkshowhost86 is of similar mindset too.

You cant post anything negative about Lamela on this website. I remember getting spammed to oblivion for having the temerity of suggesting that maybe he wasn't actually that good. Sacrilege!

1. Pretty sure spurs mental just posted something negative about Lamela, so obviously you can.

2. A post getting spammed does not mean you can't post about that topic. If you feel that's not the case, that's your problem.

One thing is for sure - it doesn't belong in the Champions League thread!

Rose has played well for us for more than 1 season. Rose is a prick for his comments but it doesn't mean he's not a good player and actually been an integral part of our growth under Poch.

Kane has scored 20 goals 3 seasons on the spin and won 2 golden boots.

Lamela has done very little of note bar 15/16. He hasn't earned the respect that Kane can command.

That, for me, is a bullshit opinion. It's the whole idea of it's you're fine in my books if you're good. Which is not enough.

Sure, I agree that Kane and Rose have had more good seasons for us than Lamela, that wasn't what I was saying. What I was saying is you can't have a go at Lamela for making money whilst he's injured but not have a go at Kane and Rose or anyone else at the club for while they're injured.

Lamela's been out for a while and it can be frustrating. As a fan it's fine to not like him or want rid of him etc... that's fine. In the same way it's fine for others to really miss him and value what he has brought to the team and what he could bring to the team.

But having a go at him for the wages he's getting whilst he's injured, for me, is too far. Especially if you're not gonna do it for every play when they're injured. I mean blaming him in this was is as if to say it's all Lamela's fault and Lamela planned this and and is intentionally costing the club money which is clearly bullshit.

Long story short I think you're having a go at him for the wrong reason with that point about wages. I also think when Lamela returns he'll be an asset to us and hopefully we go get to use him in the Champions League for the knock out stages

Hey don't lump me in with you losers! ;)

I certainly agree to a degree with @spurs mental in that I don't think we've got our money's worth from Lamela to date. He's spent a lot of the time injured, it took him ages to get up to speed with the league, plus we paid a hefty fee for him in first place meaning he was always going to have to work hard to justify the price tag.

But I can't agree with the comments that he's only played well a couple of times for us. In the season we came third he was an integral part of the squad and was really starting to become the player we hoped he would be. He was involved in a lot of our build up play, was hugely important with his pressing, and seemed on the cusp of adding more regular goals to all of that.

I do worry though that the length of time he's been out, coupled with the fact that he's STILL not back suggests that his injury is one that could mean he doesn't play again, or doesn't reach the best of his abilities.

It's why I thought we desperately needed a player in his position in the transfer window, because as far as I'm concerned Lamela can't be considered as part of the playing squad for the foreseeable future and the Champions League squad has shown that.
