I couldn't find the player thread for Serge, so here it is.

Can't wait to see this guy on the right as he has it in him to make us forget about KW.

Great a many balls into the box and that threat that KT just doesn't have in his locker.

The thing is, he's still only 24, Poch has the midas touch with fullbacks and Aurier still has a ton of untapped potential. He might be scary good in a year or two.

He really does like to stay wide and likes to beat his man, this will really stretch the bus parkers. Excited to see him in action.

Spurs finally have full-back uninterested in money
Date published: Wednesday 6th September 2017 11:59

Serge Aurier claims his ‘salary is of little importance’, which must be music to the ears of Daniel Levy.

The Ivorian right-back has joined Tottenham for PSG for £23m but has taken a pay cut to play in the Premier League.

Tottenham have lost Kyle Walker to Manchester City and doubled wages this summer, while Danny Rose has gone public about his wage woes.

He claims that PSG ‘didn’t respect his true worth’ as French football’s finest defender.

“I wanted a new life because PSG didn’t respect my true worth. They dwelt on other matters beside football,” said Aurier.

“Statistically speaking, I am the most influential defender in Ligue 1 between 2013 and now. I have also won nine trophies with PSG.

“There are more striking things about my career than what happened off the field, but this is what they preferred to linger over.

“I feel free now. PSG offered me a new three-year deal, but I have left them for a new adventure. I turned them down for a number of reasons. I want to discover a new way of life.

“I got on well with everyone at the club — bosses, players, coaches and fans — and the proof comes from the fact they wanted to keep me. But I had to think of myself. It is a personal decision.

“I had some business with the police that was blown up by the media in Europe. Normally when a matter goes on for a year or more they move on to something else.

“But in my case there was far too much of a fuss. If I hadn’t been mentally strong I would have cracked up.

“I could have stayed another year or two. PSG’s president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is like a second father to me and the team is like a family.

“I hurt some people with my decision to leave but that is life. I wanted to see a new world.

“Tottenham are an ambitious club that plays good football and often finishes around the top of the Premier League.

“I have always dreamed of playing in England and I have seized the opportunity that has come my way.

“I am 24 and have many seasons still ahead of me. It’s now down to me to fight, improve and enjoy some great times with my new club.

“My salary is of little importance. I want to be with a club where I can have fun. If money was my main interest I swear that I’d have stayed in Paris. They offered me a very interesting contract — more so than the first one.

“But I have signed a five-year deal with Tottenham so I can experience new things and become one of the best right-backs in the world. And with God’s blessing I will achieve my aim.”

Amazing attitude. He's a winner. Will be infectious. Positive and determined.

Knows how to put a ball into the danger zone as well.

Very excited about this guy.

If he can cross the ball on the run, dribble past players with a drop of the shoulder too add to his obvious physical qualities then he's aleady and upgrade on Walker imo

I saw on his Instagram that he was travelling back to London today - must be no chance of him being involved at Everton on Saturday I'd assume?*

*Not sure if this was already obviously the case or not.

Poch said as much in his presser today. Seeing as he was basically in the country only just long enough to get paperwork, sign a contract, do a little pr then fly off to join Ivory Coast I think it would be a miracle for him to be game ready by Saturday. His raw talent alone may be enough to get him on the bench as an impact sub.

Yeah, I suppose I was hoping against logic that he might somehow be involved.

Did anyone else notice in that video how competent he was on his left foot? I thought that was rather interesting. Both Tripps and Walker highly favor their right foot. To such an extent that you never see them pass it with their left. It definitely gives him an extra tool in the toolit. I was very impressed with his energy and desire.
