Nike leverages sustainable innovation for its football kits through the use of recycled polyester, delivering unrivalled performance and lower environmental impact.
The kit’s shirt and shorts are constructed with recycled polyester fabric, which is made from recycled plastic bottles melted down to produce a fine yarn.
Each kit is made using approximately 16 recycled plastic bottles. Since 2010, Nike has diverted more than three billion plastic bottles from landfills into recycled polyester, enough to cover about 5,200 football pitches.
Wait it's not black?Black camo would have been alot nicer
Wait it's not black?
The yellow CL training gear looks great too.
Agreed, I just wonder how it would look on an out of shape person such as myself. Seems to be a bit form fitting, and my form isn't for fitting.
Black camo would have been alot nicer
The main complaint I've seen from people is that it's not original..but I think that misses the point.
Nike has been known to group together the designs on their "elite" teams, as a sort of branding. "You see a team wearing this design you know it's an elite team." They do it in the states with college basketball. Teams that have won national championships or made Final Fours have gotten special designs, but those special designs are the same across the board for those special teams. For a few years it was silver shoulder accents, then after that they changed it to a special design on the back of the shirt.
If Nike is saying "these are the special clubs" and Spurs are one of them, I'm all in.
I don't think that is what Nike is saying....
That makes more sense, I'd be interested to see if Nike created any 3rd kits that didn't fit this design though (honestly haven't looked that far).I think he means with the third kits and the camo design that not everyone has.
These are I think the selected teams:
To be honest last year I was bothered by just how much we uses our third kit, especially when our away kit was . So if this just means more use for our away kit then I'm good with it.http://www.footyheadlines.com/2017/09/is-nikes-new-tottenham-17-18-third-kit-useless.html
Is Nike's New Tottenham 17-18 Third Kit Useless?
After Nike released their first-ever Spurs third kit this morning, a debate started up on social media if the new Tottenham Hotspur 17-18 Nike third kit would be too similar to the club's away kit. Let us get a bit into detail if Nike should have released a differently colored third shirt for the club...
Nike's intended use for the new purple Tottenham Hotspur 2017-2018 is that the shirt is rather an extra European away kit than a kit to avoid kit clashes as the club the third kit "will be predominately be used as the away strip in European competition this season." However, with Tottenham Hotspur now having a white, a navy and a dark purple kit, they are not perfectly equipped for the Premier League season...
With West Bromwich Albion having released a traditional navy and white striped home kit for the 2017-2018 season, Spurs does not have a 'perfect' kit for the match at West Brom's Hawthorns stadium in early May 2018 (It is most likely that Spurs will wear the purple third kit in eight months).
Do you think the third kit is useless? Should have Nike released a differently colored third shirt for Tottenham? Do you think that any of the Spurs 17-18 kits differs enough from West Brom's home kit?
We wore purple there a few years back, I guess the only difference is the navy sleeves and navy back of shirt that WBA now have.
That Preston kit is a stunnerI don't think that is what Nike is saying....
