Don't get how VAR picked up a very dubious hand ball for Juve, but failed to pick up a clear foul for a pen by Liechsteiner on Taraabt?

Juve v Fiorentina anyone? Just me, then. I'll consider it a scouting mission for when we inevitably get linked to Milan Badelj again next TW.

Any good ?
You missed nothing. Juve do not look settled at all and Fiorentina have very little quality after being blown up this summer. What they do have is still gelling with the replacements. I mentioned Badelj but he was sent off. Didn't see that nor Juve's goal as I had switch over to Bayer v Hertha for some real action. Fiorentina had chances to equalize toward the end but silly mistakes and bad decisions prevented that.

Watched the second half of Samp v Milan earlier, great tussle, same goes for the Genoa v Inter game currently on. Tactically, Italian teams are still the best in Europe IMO, it doesn't always make for the most rip roaring, thrills and spills, slapstick entertainment, but if you can suck some appreciation for good coaching of tactical ethics out of it, then Italian football still holds plenty of joy.

The Sampdoria v Milan game wasn't full of chances, or entertaining moments of creative élan, but it wasn't one team parking a bus and one team battering them, or taking it turns to do that, as we often see in England, it was two teams pressing every inch of space all over the park, no space, no oxygen, no time to entertain, but everyone on the pitch had to be intelligent about their role, the group dynamics, no coasters.

Pretty much the same story in the Genoa v Inter game, despite Inter having more possession, it's not a bus park game, Genoa are pressing Inter pretty high up.

Edit

Second half has turned into a bit of a bus park by Genoa. As you were.

OK, how about of the four CM's in this game , three of them are called Valero, Vecino and Veloso. And...Adel Taarabt is playing?
I stopped watching Italian football when the CMs stopped being called Davids and Zidane. No Del Piero on show = no interest on the 1620 frequency.

Ok BC the Sheffield Derby (CCV was playing) is over so I moved over to the ASSE-Rennes game. Wanted to see how Inter is playing with all new signings. Got a notification that you posted in here and got excited that the game would be something. Let's just say that the action in France pisses all over this. You also made me miss an ASSE equalizer in order to see 5 Italians flop on the floor in 2 minutes...you bastard:D.

Hey everbody a shot on goal just occurred. An actual shot on goal in the Serie A game. Not only that but it was on target and from outside the box. Heady days in Italy.

EDIT: And a Goran Pandev sighting in the wild. He's gotta be like 60!

That shot's just ruined the game for me.

Spurs = 57 shots per game = xg 0.62

Italian football = 0.87 shots per game = xg 0,62

This is actually boiling into a decent game last 10 minutes.

Yeah, but by not really a ringing endorsement considering our form.

Check you inbox. Wanted to see this Victor Mouassa guy for Rennes.
