Hazard looked as though he'd never been away. Their performance tonight has given me genuine cause for concern.

They have talented players but also have a deeply ingrained winning mentality. Most teams would have folded after going 1-0 down in those circumstances.

I hate the chavs but I quite enjoy English teams doing well in Europe. Except Arsenal, never Arsenal.

The EPL teams are making massive strides to dominating Europe again. The way things are going it looks like we'll have 5 teams in the knock-outs, that must be unprecedented?

I think only Chelsea and City have the ability to get to the semifinals. We're not certain to get out of the group yet. Man United and Liverpool I just don't think are good enough teams to go far in the competition.

Chelsea are just a very well balanced team to be honest. Strong, solid and disciplined, which could also be said about us, without a doubt but where I feel they have the edge is with the dashes of flair and pace they have to go with it. In players like Hazard, Willian, Pedro etc. We don't even have one player like that whereas they have 3. And one of them is just absolutely world class in Hazard, he'd fit in at Madrid or Barca so easily, he's just too talented.

One for the conspiracy theorists saying the media are only against us - Gerrard just made the same comments about Hazard and Coutinho possibly leaving to the likes of Real and Barca that they regular make about Alli and Kane.

not sure if i fully agree....Hazard is a star no question but Eriksen certainly has the stardust about him....funnily enough in 2-3 years could see Haz at Madrid and Eriksen at Barca (he is the only one of our core lot i can see going soon....well perhaps Danny)

I was thinking that, that in Alli and Eriksen for example we have two players who can be special in their own ways but I still think it's different. For whatever reason, Chelsea don't exactly 'miss' a player like Eriksen or Alli. Not saying they wouldn't improve them but their team isn't crying out for them. On the other hand sometimes when we play I really feel like despite having Eriksen and all the other contributors, we're really crying out for a Pedro/Willian/Hazard(obviously) and that's kind of the difference I mean.

understand what you are saying....guess our slight disagreement is over Pedro and Willian (who are good both not brilliant unlike Haz who is a W but amazing) and perhaps I rate Eriksen a tad bit higher....closer to Haz and La Liga big 2 worthy.

But get what you are saying!

Yeah for sure I can understand that. It's kind of the type of players they are as well though as opposed to just them specifically. Both players with pace, Pedro more so with an eye for goal and Willian maybe more of a team player but both attack minded, quick, clever in possession etc. Just with that confident and independent swagger about them backed up with pace and ability, the type of player I really think we could do with!

What makes you think it may be dawning on him?

As I said, it may just be that Dembele and Wanyama are unavailable, but we've had a cm3 (or 1+2) with the likes of Eriksen and Sissoko in it. I'd like to think it's Poch trying to be more progressive from midfield, but until Wanyama and Dembele are available we won't know if it's that, partially that or just he's playing the only options he thinks he has left.

Mourinho won EL last year and their squad has just gotten better since, Unfortunately I think they will get quite far.

I'm hoping that Bayern don't get past the group stage, gets into the EL, gets drawn against le Arse, wins 10-2. That would be glorious.
