Apparently that was Son's problem when he was out for a while.

Whilst painful, it is extremely treatable and certainly wouldn't be a barrier to long term physical activity.

Without getting into it, the right footwear, orthotics if required, potential steroid treatment, strapping/taping and exercises can all significantly help the pain, and solve the cause of the condition.

It is what Son had. I've had it on/Off for years.
There's no actual "cure" though. As you say, you just have to take care of it with proper stretching, footwear and technique.

I think Jordan Henderson had it for a long while. I'm surprised more footballers don't get it as football boots are just about the worst thing I've ever run in.

Dier has been involved every match till date ,he will be involved for England as well. We need to give him a break.Getting Wanyama back after intl break will be welcome news.

Not sure dier needs resting? Pochettino hardley ever rests him.
With diers role in the team I'm guessing he does less running ( no stats to back this up) than most of our side as his role is more positional and filling gaps when other go forward

I've treated professional boxers, rugby players and Olympic cyclists for problems such as this and I can assure you, most top players have their boots made to measure and bespoke orthorics prescribed.

In one case for an England rugby player, I recommended he doesn't get out of bed for a piss without having his orthotics in his slippers.

It's common in athletes due to the strain on the calf muscle and subsequent strain it places on the achilles and Plantar fascia. Relieving the tension by stretches and correct footwear/orthotics generally solves 95% of patients in my experience

Plantar fascia played for Madrid in the fifties I think.

I imagine its been said before but I love the photos of the players on physioroom.com It as if they can only pick from those that make the player look injured or braindead!

Over the last 3 seasons, we have always looked far and away our best with Wanyama and Dembele in the middle. We are seeing other teams copy the two powerhouses in the middle. Kante and Bakayoko look so dominant at the minute. Man U added matic to the mix.

It' no surprise that we've been ponderous in the middle of the park and unable to control games like last season. At times Apoel went through the middle on Tuesday like we had no one midfield. Just to reiterate, that's the champions of Cyprus....

Sorry, Lemon, I have to do this

The other 5% can be cured with regular piss soaks, but specifically piss that has been excreted after eating a substantial helping of asparagus.

:finger: After I thought we bonded over Kombucha and everything...

In this case my preference would be magnesium and hydrogen peroxide foot baths, very hot (12-15 mins), then 2-3minutes very cold, repeat 2 or 3 times.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia expert, Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum, MD, recommends 1,000mg-1500mg of calcium and 200mg of magnesium at bedtime to relieve the irritation and stiffness associated with plantar fasciitis (@TottenhamMattSpur). He states that it can take up to six weeks to begin working, but this combination is usually quite effective at mitigating foot pain. Be sure to discuss the addition of these supplements with your doctor, as calcium and magnesium are known to interfere with the absorption of some medications like prescription thyroid medications and some antibiotics.

@stevenurse @Shea = do you perform Rolfing?

Actually, the after asparagus bit is clever, you been dabbling in urine therapy Mattie, haven't you?

Many a truth spoken in piss. Inulin from Asparagus feeds the friendly bacteria from Kombucha, it is a strong blend my friend.

If anyone is looking for a delicious way to modify your urine cuisine experience try the urine asparagus shake.

Eat as much asparagus as you can the night before.

The next day collect all urine in a blender. Blend urine with a few sprigs of mint for a delicious culinary experience.

The subtlety of the asparagus really makes this a powerhouse drink.

4. Not all asparagus scented pee is the same. During digestion, the vegetable’s sulfurous amino acids break down into smelly chemical components in all people. But only about one-fifteenth of the asparagus scented urine population appears to have the special detoxifying gene that allows their potent urine to be beneficial.

Got to say I found the above funny :wtf:

Before everyone starts, I have never done urine therapy, but believe it to have some merit for some.

I prefer a nice Sauvignon Blanc myself, but each to their own.

also think that this is a big opportunity for a lot of DM games which will be good for Dier....he will also end up playing a lot at CCB

A. it sounds like some dank, dark S&M degeneracy one instantly regrets looking up in the urban dictionary,

B. If I ask you what you do for a living and you say to me, "I'm a certified Rolfer", you better expect a hearty BWAHAHAHAH! in your face.

C. Why do they all look like they are straight out of Jonestown?

Used to be in IT, currently in between professions (caring for children and wife).

Rolfing is employed by the NHS: https://www.rolfinguk.co.uk/uncategorized/rolfer-to-work-with-nhs-gp-practice-in-brighton/
